  • @Coupon-mad the charge is £70. So yes wrong amount and wrong location. Can you please suggest which defence template would be best suited for my situation?

Just use the Template Defence and raise those points in your para 3. You can deny that the car was in that car park on that day AND deny that Tesco parking signs create a contractual PCN of £80 as pleaded. State that the claim should be struck out.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi guys,

I’ve received a letter for allocation to the small claims hearing and it states on there if the claimant doesn’t pay the court fee by 15/05 then it’ll be struck off. The hearing is dated for 12/06.

I’ve also received an email today from the claimants solicitor Gladstone with there witness statement attached stating they won’t be attending the final hearing.

What does this all mean and what should I do next?

I’ve attached the hearing letter and email for reference.

So 15th May deadline for Gladstones to pay the hearing fee to that court

Hearing date is pencilled in for 12th June

When is the Witness Statement deadline ?

Neither Gladstones or the claimant parking company will attend the hearing, but they may send an advocate instead , so assume that they will

You should start preparing your WS plus Exhibits bundle as explained in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum, in the 2nd post

Phone the court after 15th May to check if they paid the hearing fee

Go back to re-read post 2 of the Newbies FAQS thread. You should have been expecting WS and evidence stage.

Did you use the Template Defence last year? What did your para 3 say?
