Parking Eye - Defence submitted on MCOL

This forum has been unvaluable thus far. Thank you.

I have submitted my defence because I got nervous. Now I just want to make sure I have done the right thing and in all honesty, I could do with your support as things progress!

  • I used the template provided and then included my own paragraph 3. I read and reread all the advice and I think so far this is correct.

Do you think this paragraph is succinct enough?

    3. The signage throughout the car park is minimal, small in size, and not sufficiently clear or visible to adequately inform drivers of the parking restrictions and time limits. This signage does not comply with the British Parking Association’s Code of Practice, which requires clear, legible, and prominently displayed notices. Crucially, the specific parking spaces where the defendant’s vehicle was parked do not appear to be covered or clearly indicated by any nearby signage, failing to separate the ‘McDonalds’, thus, time restricted area from the ‘Catch Corner’ which offers free off-street parking with no time restriction. There was no indication or warning in the immediate vicinity of the parking space about any time restrictions or terms and conditions. As such, the defendant was not reasonably made aware of any contract or parking terms applicable to the space where they were parked.

I meant invaluable... complete opposite to what I actually wrote!
