OK, I've changed the wording to reference the joint code of practice which I think is the document I was originally looking at. Thanks both.

    Great! Get it submitted, then..

... please please please do this on or before 5th September (end of next week): the government's Public Consultation.

Their proposals are wrong and in some parts,  anti-consumer. We must stop them.

    See this thread: -

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious and detailed, we get that.

But no previous knowledge is needed: you as a harassed and angry Defendant who never wanted court and presumably received umpteen £170 threatograms, can call out a scam industry with our help, with little preparation needed and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance on that thread.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please!

All submitted, now onto the public consultation.

Update: I have received DQ Form N180, which I completed and emailed to both the CNBC email address and DCB Legal. I received automated responses from both and then an automated phone call from DCB Legal which I hung up on, presuming they would try and pressure me to pay up.

The form had to be returned by the 20th, but the current processing times show that it will go over this time frame, should I worry about this? What if it's processed after the 20th? On MCOL i can see that the claimants DQ is filed but not the defendants (mine).

    Cheers

Provided you received the automatic acknowledgement from CNBC you should be fine, keep checking MCOL to see when it is filed.

CNBC use the date of receipt for documents despite their backlog

Thanks for your replies, I was just concerned the process would move along to the next stage on October 20th despite it having not been processed.
