Ovecharged for a new boiler

I'm not convinced they are. OP seems to be chucking around all sorts of claims in response to people pointing out that on the basis of his original account, there was nothing underhand about the boiler transaction. Either that, or there was a lot more to the whole situation than he's let on.born_again said:Do not know why police are involved in this. As there has been no underhand dealing from what we have been told.
OP contacted the company to install boiler after a recommendation, so not like a cold call & being fleeced that way.
Not sure what help a video doorbell is going to be & who is fitting it? Hope they got at least 3 quotes 🤷♀️
Seems to be a lot of wasted 3rd party time, all due to no due diligence in the 1st place 🤷♀️0 -
Re the police, doesn't the OP feel she's being intimidated by the plumber?
But apart from that I'm not sure what she's complaining about...tgk1 said:... Previously this man was also at my door at 8 o clock at night ringing the bell, knocking the door and rattling the letterbox after sending me a text message and calling me twice. I ignored these. I was inside for the night with the dog and I wasn't going to answer. He only went away when I emailed their office and told his wife I would call the Police if he didn't go away and that this was intimidation and harrassment. I called Police but they had a long wait. I submitted a contact form and they called me back. They also followed it up with an email with a crime number...0 -
I really cannot see why the OP has an issue. They seem to think they have been overcharged when from the information they have given they have not been, they are refusing to pay and are now making claims about bodies such as the police being involved which seem fanciful at best.0
