Vodafone lack of support

  • Vodafone fixed nothing sadly, Openreach resolved the problem. I kept getting sent 3rd party techs such as Kelly communications who would only check the line to the house and not anything in the exchange which was the actual fault the whole time, Sky, Plusnet and Vodafone did all send multiple engineers out with the fault logged.

Vodafone I would waste time passing security through their automated system to then get passed to a person that would again ask for the same information to pass security, the initial support conversations always went in a loop of restarting the router and waiting 2 days. Honestly it was torture trying to explain the problem over and over again before being able to get Openreach booked in. The fault was fixed on month 22 of a 24 month contract.

Vodafone fixed nothing sadly, Openreach resolved the problem.

But you can only get to Openreach via your service provider, in this case Vodafone.

So Vodafone referred your problem on to Openreach, where Sky and Plusnet didn't.

  • All providers did refer the issue to Openreach as I stated, many calls outs involved Openreach subbing the job out to the likes of Kelly communications who work on their behalf, sadly these do not have access to the exchange itself to fault find.

Had Vodafone improved the responses (Or the support desk simply looked at previous logs) most of my time would have been saved by not repeating problems over and over again and having to pass double security. From this experience I sadly would not recommend them.

Broadband was good when it worked, it was the ongoing line fault and support aggravations that soured the whole experience.
