Morning all xx
Not being of a domestic bent I initially thought that was a euphemism Valli. Google put me right. Every day is a school day.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with no lives lost, set towels and tea towels swishing, and supped a brew.
I was very brave this morning...I got up without checking what time it was first. Turns out it was 6.30 am. Because the first thing I did after getting out of bed was check the time. 🤣. There's a limit to how brave I am. OCD? Perhaps. Weird? Defo 😊 Harmless? In most circumstances.
I'm ready for another brew? Join me?
Have a lovely day.

I keep a small clock under the spare pillow Round so I can check the time when I wake up which could be 3 or 4 times a night. Then I know whether I should try to go back to sleep or whether I can get up. Any time from 5.15 onwards I will just get up. In Winter it's hard to guess the time during the night because it's so dark anyway.Morning all. First load of washing dry and the second load is about to spin so I'll peg that out in a minute. I dusted, polished and vacuumed the whole house and washed the kitchen floor. Did it early while it was cool. One neighbouring house is empty while the sale goes through and the other side gets up early like me so I didn't disturb anyone.I am dog sitting this afternoon so he'll have a short walk so he doesn't get too hot and then it's an afternoon with the Kindle. Such hard work D).Hope everyone's OK x5

Great location, within walking distance of places we wanted to go. Strands no hints, two lines on Connections and Wordle in four.Lovely hotel Weency, and it would suit me very well but Belovéd can't walk far with his dodgy ankle and a very ordinary Holiday 1nn 3xpre$$ happens to be next door to the Scotia Bar and which he absolutely loves, so that's where we'll be staying! Thank you for the suggestions generally. I'm learning a lot googling everything and it'll be a while before I firm up plans but we're getting there. I'm interested in the guided tour of the station Short Bird, and if I did that Belovéd would probably take himself off to see a matinee, which would mean we would both be doing something we found interesting.*Healing vibes* for Mr Ionafan and Narco's shoulder. *kingfisher envy*Sorry about your jelly bag Valli. Have your neighbours got one you could borrow?I have at last made the chicken liver paté the chicken livers were bought for last year so they're no longer festering in the freezer. I've poured the mix into eight little pots so we don't have to eat masses at once, and they can be squeezed back into the freezer later. I've got a huge batch of bolognaise sauce in the slow cooker which I'll also freeze in small batches later for when I want a quick supper or to make a a lasagne or three. The sick apple tree is shedding fruit, at least 15 a day, so I've microwaved some edible bits with some sultanas, brown sugar and cinnamon. I'm not mad about cooked apple but it will taste rather wonderful with ice cream as and when Belovéd needs a pudding at some point. Most of the windfalls are mouldy but some are okay. The tree will be having surgery in the winter and it may not survive that but it's going to fall over if we don't hack off a huge chunk of it and it's clearly under a lot of stress. I made a batch of chocolate pots yesterday so they'll be my desserts for the next week.Beloved did a load of laundry before he went to play tennis and is now watching his team in the pub with a pal. I won't be doing much more today, either.Better is good enough.6

A late post from me today, as I have been busy all day with a boot sale, some more decluttering, and made a couple of pounds, so it was a worthwhile day. Wordle in 6 today.
This evening, I will take DD to the stables to visit her horse and ride him if we have time. I will also prepare my stuff for tomorrow and spend the rest of the evening relaxing, as it's going to be a busy week next week.
I hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday/weekend. Hugs to those who want/need them.7 -
Hi all, popping in to give you a feeble wave, I have been away on a girls weekend (although two of the party were 80 and 83 so it's not been too wild). Hugely challenging for me because I had to go with the flow and wasn't in charge but managed to mostly keep the anxiety in check and enjoy myself. Proud of that.
So it's going to be an early night. DH has been a star and flown while I was away. Hope it's been a good weekend. See you on next week's thread.7 -

I'm now the proud owner of a new jelly bag care of a crafty chain of hobby stores. Damson jelly made. Crab apples next. Must buy chillis. Have done some ironing too.
Ebay sales packed (but not sealed) as I have yet to receive payments for a couple and I print the labels 'elsewhere' *whistles innocently*
I've researched, lots of Furbys on ebay so I shall pass mum's Furbys (she thought they were 'cute') to DiL who is doing a car boot sale in a week or twoDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
