iWeb Change to Scottish Widows

Was pretty straightforward website, rather hoping they resist the temptation to 'enhance' it. 

The only change I would find useful is updating the reporting so that you can filter by security/fund. It would be good to see all the transactions for that specific share rather than everything in the date range. I can copy to spreadsheet but would be simpler to see on the site.

I have to say I'm not too optimistic about the change having had years of experience of Scottish Widows pension stuff but we'll see. I expect when we log in we'll start getting pop-up messages, promotions for other products, advice about staying safe and other stuff you don't need to read every time you login and all of that stuff will appear above the stuff you logged in to see, you know, like your account balance.

My suggestion to Lloyds would be to leave Iweb broadly as it is, with maybe a link to whatever stuff it is you want to flog us at Scottish Widows. Perhaps give us an app to amuse us if you're feeling generous.

Instead, spend your shareholders money on getting rid of that macabre Victorian "coffin-club" name and give SW a name that sounds like something more cheerful from this century.  Then maybe we'd visit without being pushed.

You should have made any suggestions for the “new” IWeb at the customer focus groups they held  or on the customer survey they sent out. Wait…what focus groups and customer survey? Do research to find out what customers might want from a service? What a novel idea…

Yeah, I do feel sorry for that poor woman on all their promotional stuff. Must be hard to move on from her loss when she sees her picture everywhere.

Given how dated the underlying HSD platform is I wouldn't be surprised to see an Under Construction animated gif on the iWeb login page soon.

To be fair, I do remember a survey asking us what improvements we'd like some time ago. 

But I doubt many asked for the name to be changed to Scottish Widows with a black logo to constantly remind us that the grim reaper awaits us followed by a pauper's grave and penury for our widows. Unless we save with them. All very Victorian. Mind, the young widow in the TV ads looks very cheerful after getting her hands on the dosh at last.
