Awesome. And am I best emailing it to the court or uploading via mcol? I've read conflicting advice that's all...

    Mcol,  copy paste, save,  submit

Too many failures and defa7CCJs with emails going missing at the CNBC

The advice on here was changed 3 months ago and the old 12 steps was revised 8 steps

Follow those 8 steps you found in the defence template thread
  • This case is still ongoing.. They've now booked me in for a mediation call for February. Does this suggest they're looking to go through with the case? I expected them to back off by now...

No it doesn't , and no they won't,  not yet anyway

The parking companies and lawyers tend to go past the mediation stage to the local court stage, carrying on right up until they have to pay the court order hearing fee,  a few weeks before the pencilled in hearing date.  Until that point there's no incentive to discontinue, the hearing fee deadline is the line in the sand

At the moment both sides are going through the motions, sparring,  following the well trodden path

Expect it to be resolved by next summer

oh okay.. thanks for the reassurance then mate. I'll keep the thread updated :)

How should I approach the mediation? I'm not really too keen on wasting an hour of my time on the call (email says it'll last 1 hour) if I can avoid it, but I'm thinking that failing to fully engage will look bad on my behalf if the case goes all the way to the hearing...

    Won't be an hour.
THE FIRST 8 STEPS in the Template defence thread covers mediation. Search the forum and you'll also find lots of posts to read from others experience of the mediation process.

    Update on this:

Mediation lady called today… She said that DCB have offered to reduce to £200 (how generous of the,)… I said the most I'll offer is £10, to which she said she'll take to them, but that they'll probbaly reject it. She then emailed me to say they haven't accepted.

I'm wondering whether this will now go to court as surely if they were just going to stop pursuing the claim, they'd just accept the tenner and move on?

The process follows the 8 steps in the defence template thread and it will definitely go to the court that you nominated in your N180 DQ document, so the CNBC will confirm the transfer to that court by letter, same as thousands of other cases

That court will then write to you in due course, then you follow the process as outlined in the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements

To summarise, every case that isn't settled at mediation goes to court
