Parking charge - question about CCTV

It definitely was them. Now I think about it, I am very surprised they have my number. Especially seeing as the vehicle is registered in my wife's name, she is the one who received the PCN.
I did originally respond to GXS through their web portal, I can only assume they've tracked me through my email address...
Anyway, thanks for the additional advice. I will tell them to just write to me.

Doesn't your wife want to transfer liability to you, or weren't you the driver?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I thought we weren't supposed to admit who the driver was? At this point I'm not actually sure who trace are chasing...0

She can transfer liability to you and should do so, if you would be the more robust person to defend the case, if ever GXS break the habit of a lifetime and start suing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Now that it's out of GXS hands and they are refusing to discuss the case, can she transfer liability to me through Trace? That'll mean actually speaking to them though...
So far they have called once and sent one text too my number, no emails or letters have been sent to either of us. That seems unusual, right?0 -
The keeper can always transfer liability at any time before a court claim. Why wasn't that done already if you were driving & you're the more robust and/or informed person posting on here?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Again I thought this was the correct process, as it's advised on the newbies thread to never admit who is driving.Coupon-mad said:The keeper can always transfer liability at any time before a court claim. I've received another text message from Trace asking me to call them. Is it worth me calling and asking them to transfer liability to myself?0 -
OP, I agree with C-m - anything like a debt collector should be told - "I will only accept contact in writing, assuming your staff can actually write."Coupon-mad said:I don't think Trace call people. If they do, tell them to write only.

The Registered Keeper can only transfer liability via the parking firm, not through some irrelevant, third party, debt crawler.TicketGuy2222 said:

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The keeper is the one to transfer liability. And not by phone!
It would be madness not to now transfer liability before court action in a case where the driver is up for and ready to defend.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
