I don't have Santander shares any more, but I've just looked in my archive and found an example email from when I did. It also came from no-reply@email.equiniti.com and said...x44 said:wmb194 said:
So you haven't received any cash to your bank account? Sending an email to say a dividend has been paid could just be a bulk mailing list that includes old shareholders. Or is it detailed? Dear Shareholder
Online dividend information and Electronic Tax Voucher
I’m pleased to inform you that your account has been credited with the final dividend for the 2022 financial year.
The dividend was paid at £0.05246095 per share, less Spanish withholding tax. This dividend is for the shares held on your behalf in the Santander Nominee Service on 28 April 2023. The dividend rate of €0.0595 was converted using an exchange rate of €1 = £0.88169659.
Is this the same as the email you received @Canarymike9 ?0 -
The dividend is added to my share value and not sent to my bank so the only thing I have is their emails...wmb194 said:
You've been receiving the dividend payments? There are no identifying reference numbers on the deposits to your bank account? E.g., there might be a reference number against the transaction on the bank statement.Canarymike9 said:Hi All
Hopefully I can get some advice... A million years ago I had an account with Abbey National and was allocated shares when it was bought out by Santander - stupidly I opted out of paper communication and forgot all about it...
having been recently made redundant I was going through my finances and at the same time got my regular email from Santander Sharepoint reporting that I had been paid my dividend on my share holding -
I called them to ask how I could see what I have and the answer was to log in with my shareholder number (which is on all paperwork comms but not emails!) -
needless to say I couldn't find any paperwork from many years ago and was advised to write to Equiniti with my address and contact details.
I did this and got a reply asking for more information... I sent every address I had (which was quite a few!) in the last 20 years plus copies of the emails sent referencing the dividend payments - again they have written back saying they cant find me under the details I sent...
I am at a loss as to what to do next - I am assuming they exist or I wouldn't get emails saying they do! What can I do to find this number as Equiniti are obviously putting the problem back to me and I have no further information I can give them!

Sorry yes it's Shareview! No dividend cheques as I believe it's being reinvested - they offer me an electronic tax voucher but I need to log on to see it and need the ID number to log on! Nothing is going into the bank account...TheBanker said:
Customers were actually allocated shares in Abbey National plc when it de-mutualised in 1989. These shares were converted to Santander shares when Santander acquired Abbey in 2004. Or were you a customer of Alliance and Leicester which demutualised in 1997 and was acquired by Santander in 2008?Canarymike9 said:Hi All

HELP!
If you provided your email address at this point, I am surprised you did not also provide bank details for payment of the dividend. I believe Equiniti will send a the dividend by cheque where they don't hold bank details, but obviously this only works if they know your current address. Do you ever recall receiving dividend cheques?
Who is sending the emails about the dividends? You mention Santander Sharepoint, is this a typo? Because Sharepoint is a piece of Microsoft software. Equinitiy's online service for Santander shareholders is called Santander Shareview.0 -
They say so but noting in the bank and cant log on to see that account - I think they are being reinvested...FrugaiMacDugal said:Are you still getting regular dividends?0 -
The email states the value 'paid' per share and I can get an electronic Tax certificate but need to log on first and I need that magic number to log on... Nothing paid to my bank but I think its reinvested...wmb194 said:

One other option you might need to resort to is to submit a Subject Access Request, there'll be details within their privacy policy....1 -
OP - I have posted a template for making a Subject Access Request and Equiniti's contact details in earlier post.1
