Outdoor "air conditioning".

I was doing some fairly heavy work in the garden, and was a bit of a sweaty mess, when I noticed the ASHP had fired up to do the hot water. Stood in front of the fan for a few minutes and was restored to cool as a cucumber status.

Have you found any unexpected features in your installation?

    Outdoor Air-Con! Love it!  <3
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

My installer suggested I set up a deck chair in summer with a cool beer in hand next to the heat pump.  Unfortunately I get cheap night time electricity so don't run the pump by day in summer.
    Install 28th Nov 15, 3.3kW, (11x300LG), SolarEdge, SW. W Yorks.
    Install 2: Sept 19, 600W SSE
    Solax 6.3kWh battery

If only there was a heat pump that put heat inside on cold days, and cold on hot days……oh! :D

Our large twin fan Samsung unit is installed on the patio and I can confirm outdoor aircon is definitely a thing on a hot summer day.

Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter

Where our unit is situated is a sun trap so we avoid it during the day when it's too hot.  It's been a long while since I last got out there but I do recall having to move out of the way on evenings when I was just warm enough, as it would make me cold.  Hadn't thought of it being a benefit, but now I know!
