Moneda Capital Warning
Comments

I would strongly recommend anyone considering Moneda as a place of investment to look into the people behind the company and their background. There have been numerous Youtube accounts deleted recently trying to highlight concerns.2

MONEDA ALERT!
I have (unwisely) invested a large sum of money in two yearly fixed term bank deposits with this Company.
Since early August, I have tried to contact my account handler on numerous occasions, by phone and email. No response has been forthcoming. Just yesterday, and now this morning (29/08) their office phones are not being answered. I tried to contact my handler’s boss, whose mobile number I have…no answer! I have good reason to suspect that this company has folded!3 -
Would this be Moneda Capital, offering unfeasibly high rates for high net worth individuals or sophisticated investors? If so presumably you saw and agreed to accept the risks involved?
- Capital at Risk
- These Programmes are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Capital is at risk. If Moneda Capital PLC becomes insolvent or if the underlying investment strategy does not perform as expected, investors may lose some or all of their capital, including interest due.
- Are Moneda Capital's products regulated
- No. The products offered by Moneda Capital Group are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and are not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) .
- Liquidity
- While the underlying bonds in the Moneda Capital Oakwood Fixed Rate Programme and Moneda Capital Keystone Fixed Rate Programme are listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange MTF, investors who participate in these Programmes do not hold the listed bonds directly

These warnings were posted in Feb & May 2025. Sadly the MSE thread about them was removed

Out of interest if it's a 2 year deposit, what's the reason for needing to contact them now? Or has it already expired?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.2 -
I have also invested and aware the banks where my money was placed are FCA and FSCS regulated. I had not received all interest payments due and aware the firm is now being investigated by the FCA with assets frozen. Worried sick0

I consulted a lawyer this morning. Moneda could pe a Ponzi company meaning money is not invested in banks as they say, but they make any interst payments out of new investors deposits and when they reach such time that withdrawals are made, they then cannot sustain the monies. If so, I fear no possible recourse in getting any capital back. Am at my wits end1

I also approached one of the so called banks my money was invested in and they had never heard of Moneda. There could be a third aggregrator that deposits funds but I am doubtful1

I previously posted on this thread. I pulled out of Moneda at the last minute as I felt uneasy. I did a lot of digging and realised it was a scam. I made an online report to Action for Fraud who contacted me back and I believe was going to investigate but as I was not actually a victim I am not absolutely certain if they did. I also gave a negative review on Trustpilot in the hopes of deterring other potential investors

I'm in Ireland. I have invested my life savings with Moneda since Oct 2024 and am now physically sick at the thoughts of what is potentially happening. No contact from them either by email or phone
I received a generic email (from Moneda) last Friday stating that the FCA were investigating them and they hoped to be able to give an update on 03rd Sept
Easy to be wise after the event but I fear the worst and have no idea what to do or where to turn
Haven't even been able to tell the family yet...1
