But the claim form went to an old address, and it failed to plead the breach. So it doesn't get off the ground and - due to it being unserved and supported by the fact Gladstones knew your new address (due to the other case) - you could certainly decide to apply for a set aside instead.

Look how easily Gladstones found your new address AFTER judgment (assuming they wrote to you direct as opposed to redirected post). You were there to be found.

Give it some thought for a week.

And please please please do this on or before 5th September (end of next week): the
     government's Public Consultation.

Their proposals are wrong and in some parts,  anti-consumer. We must stop them.

    See this thread: -

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-8-weeks-from-11th-july-2025/p1

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline.

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious and detailed, we get that.

But detailed knowledge is needed: you as a harassed and angry Defendant - who always disputed the charges and received umpteen £170 threatograms (none of which offered any fair dispute resolution; just 'pay up or else') then a default CCJ due to an old address being cynically used by Gladstones - can call out a scam industry with little preparation needed and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance on that thread.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please!

It reads like it is your fault for missing the claim form and not completing the defence.  As has been advised you should read all the info in the NEWBIE sticky.  If you want to try and get it set aside, that advice is also there.  If you accept it was your fault, you need to pay within the 28 days otherwise it ruins your ability to obtain credit for six years.  If it was not your fault due to the claimant/CNBC messing up your addresses, you need to act promptly and get your N244 form written and use the appropriate advice in the NEWBIE sticky second post.  N244 application costs £313.00

Which you get back if Gladstones used an old address for the claim.
