RWG terminating all users on e-sim's without warning - zero notice cut off

If the esim is running on gamma it will be a different network from the current physical sims on now. Rwg did also issue some physical sims from gamma and I'd expect those need to be pac'd to now as well. I don't think now can simply takeover the gamma sims....QrizB said:
As a general rule, you can't PAC to the same supplier you're currently with. I'm surprised you haven't come across this already if you've been porting the same number for 30 years!Greenparrot65 said:They said phasing out eSims and to buy a physical SIM from RWG. I bought a sim and their own PAC code doesn't work!0

Only been with 3 suppliers, never had problems portin. Never used PAC code with same supplier. Shouldn't RWG know that? As they asked me to buy the physical SIM from them cos they were 'phasing out the eSim'?QrizB said:

Hi guys, I have a yearly SIM, and am not getting any mobile data so can't use internet. Does anyone know if there are settings that can be changed in the phone settings, or will it make any difference given that they seem to be a struggling company? I can see no info about this on the RWG website.
I didn't receive any text or other info informing me that I would no longer have internet on my SIM. My phone reception got noticeably worse in the last few weeks so I assume they switched to another provider for calls and the internet went in the last few days. I am not able to make or receive calls at home now either. I will consider getting a PAC code if they are simply finished, but again there is nothing on their website to say so.0

If it's a physical sim is it a gamma sim or a now sim? If you can see 'mobile networks' in 'connections' it should be fairly clear which network is providing your signal.Buster_Danog said:Hi guys, I have a yearly SIM, and am not getting any mobile data so can't use internet. It comes up as "Now" under "Network Selection" on my iphone. It defaults to that.
What am I meant to do from here? Contact Now or RWG? It would be awful of another company to take over from RWG then block mobile data altogether.0

Has it always been now? Or was it gamma? If it has been moved from gamma to Now you might need to change the APN settings, mine is 'everywhere' but yours might possibly have been going through '3'.Buster_Danog said:It comes up as "Now" under "Network Selection" on my iphone. It defaults to that.

I'm not sure how many physical gamma sims rwg sent out but I had one briefly but didn't use it.0

It was always Now. On iphone I cannot manually choose the recommended setting of "Everywhere" for APN which is recommended on the RWG website. I'm offered 02 - UK, Voadafone UK, 234 32 (I don't know what that is), Now, and 3UK.
There is not option to enter my own APN.0

Just to check you are in the right place (as from what you've written you could be in the Network Selection settings)

I'm on IOS 18.5 on the iphone SE 2020. There is no "Sims" option under "Mobile Service".PHK said:

Instead I get "Network Selection" which I can turn to "Automatic" or manually choose the options I mentioned above. The only SIM options are "SIM PIN" and "Add eSim".0

Network Selection is about which network the phone connects to, it’s not for checking APN settings.Just above SIM pin, You should see Mobile Data Network, tap on that to see and edit your APN settings. Also, I would update to 18.6.2 a much better experience.1
