The Co-op offers free banking for recognised organisations like charities. Residents Associations like ours which are just a community group don't qualify. We went through all of this very carefully with our local branch where I bank and there was nothing they could do to help us.Strands with no hints, one line only on Connections and Wordle in five.Better is good enough.4

Morning all
So many online scams out there and these people are getting more clever, it's scary. We have had to get some IT help at work this week - £250 an hour!!! I am in the wrong job.
Tough week at the paid stuff, have been feeling a bit bleugh. I keep getting this weird froggy throat thing, not sure if it's a hay-fever/allergy reaction. Off to get my new glasses this afternoon, second attempt after they made the first ones up wrong!
I have done bits of flying, I had a big catch up last Sunday so things are not too bad. Elderly dog peed on the LR carpet last night, the carpet has seen better days anyway but we could do to get the carpet cleaner out. I have deployed Mum's trick of a wadge of kitchen roll, old cloth and heavy weight to soak any residue out of the carpet.
Right, best get moving, have a good Friday all x6 -

Morning,
Last night didn't go to plan because when we were at the stables, the horse got scared by something and started bucking whilst on her headcollar. During the night, DH woke up in severe pain, so I've been at the hospital all night with him.
My list for today
Go over to the stables and check on the horse
Try to get some sleep as been up all night Can't settle so I'll just power through and get an early night.
Spend an hour sorting out my diary
Clean the stair bannister
Laundry x 3 loads
Contact the vet regarding the horse
Take DD over to the horse so she can check on the horse and do what is required.
Deal with the school stationery delivery
Sort out clothes and lunch for tomorrow, as doing a trial day for a job
I think that is everything that I need to get done today. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday.

Morning all - well it was when I started typing!
I hope your DH is recovered, MMM.
Yesterday I got my derrière into gear and gave the bathroom a good clean. It was looking sorry for itself after having 4 of us at home and builders here. Looks better now. I also gave the spare room a dust and vacuum, cleared the table, with the intention of getting card making. That is still to be started. This morning I tackled the ensuite, have smeared a bicarb mix on the tile grouting. Washing is out on the line. Dining room is dusted, I will vacuum later. We have friends coming over for tea later, so I have a pasta dish to prep.
Plasterer is here working like a good ‘un. DH has gone to the tip, as major roadworks are due to start yet again on Monday in small town for weeks which will snarl it up totally. Only trouble is that different roadworks have also been started today so he has taken 1.5 hours to do a 20 minute trip, and still hasn’t made it back yet. Oh the joys of 6 weeks of traffic chaos.5 -
Sounds like the whole of Devon and Cornwall for the six weeks of the summer holidays Fayolle, and that's without roadworks. Throw them into the mix and we're gridlocked for a couple of months. Small price to pay for living somewhere so beautiful though. It's been a day of dealing with small irritations and small jobs that need to be done. Dry laundry put away, another load through the WM and pegged out. I appear to have felted the bobble on my woolly winter hat. The rest of it's okay. No-one'll notice.Cat and dog food ordered. Small quantity of wool ordered to finish a blanket after I'd searched the stash.Anyone want about six balls of chunky acryllic black wool? I'm not sure what project I bought it for but whatever it was isn't going to happen so it'll be going fairly soon to the Scrapstore if no Flylady wants it.Meal plan for the weekend has been rejigged so that the chaps can prance around with tongs doing a barbeque and then prance off to the pub to watch the footie. I like the fact that they're all enjoying the women's football as much as they do the men's but I'm afraid it still does nothing for me. It's good that the Res Assoc can all join in and the washing up will be a breeze. I'll make coleslaw, Belovéd is making burgers and a potato salad and nice neighbour is making a green salad. A couple of our guests are bringing something to add to the mix too. Should be fun.Better is good enough.6

It was easier than I thought. In the end I went into the branch and it was very quiet for a change. They verified my my ID and didn't need any copies, certified or otherwise. They made my claim for me online and said I if there are any problems the dormancy team will write to me, otherwise I should have the money paid to me within two weeks. It all sounds a bit too good to be true but we'll see.Re free banking, this site lists several banks that they say offer it to clubs and societies if they meet certain criteria. I havent looked into it so I don't know how accurate it is. I will need to open an account for the returned funds as I don't want them in my personal current acount for long. I have opened savings accounts recently but my current account was opened when it was still William and Glyn, so you can tell how long ago that was! I daresay it's much more of a palaver than it was then. Not much flying today. I took some rubbish down and took the packaging for our air conditioning unit to a friend who is going to store it (and the unit when the weather is cooler) in his basement. I also wrote and posted a card to our elderly friend in Plymouth and one to some friends who have just moved house. Other than that it's just been washing up.6

Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with one hint, completed Wordle in six, completed Connections with three lives lost, read a few chapters of my book, and supped a brew. A gentle introduction to the weekend.
I'll write my new list while supping a second brew. Saturdailies first then anything carried over from last week. I'm still finding that pencil and paper is my way to go. 😊
Hope you're all well and keeping cool. It was twot here again yesterday but seems fresher this morning.
Love to all
