I was so sick of the Frog job hanging over me (it's been at least a couple of months) I had to see if I could start it, even if I couldn't finish it. Turns out it didn't have to be done the way I thought it did, and it is now ... Ta Da ... Done!None of the other things on my endless To Do list are Froggie at all. They're just jobs that need doing.I feel marvellous!Better is good enough.7

I spent a lot of time this morning trying to check my National Insurance record, and I've got the list that shows the gap years (when my children were young and I wasn't working), but I haven't found any indication as to whether or not I benefited from Home Responsibilities Protection when my State Pension was calculated. Has anybody else looked?
I'll get our evening meal on to cook and then come back to work on my frogs. I did what is hopefully the last 'proper' shop of the month (I want some fennel but MrAl doesn't stock it, which means that I shall have to go to the posh greengrocers in the village - and I also need to source round batteries for the bathroom scales because the local ironmonger only sells a cheap version which doesn't last). That's one job off this week's to-do list, and the cupboards and !!!!!! are bursting with enough F&V to last us into August. I even remembered to wipe out the fridges before filling them.7 -

If you get a text or call
Check the number on Who Called Me
report to who called me to build up a picture and report to your mobile provider.
I would post a link but i’m on the ipad and it’s tricky.
As is editing posts….I gave up (see above)
Paid stuff today. WM x 2, DW x 1I often use one of the Who Called Me sites when I get a call from a number I don't know - they are very useful. Not much flying today as I've been tied up with dealing with personal and residents' association admin including trying to find out why I couldn't log on to our association's bank account. It turned out the bank closed it last year because of lack of use. They didn't tell me they had closed it though and made no effort to return the 4 figure sum that was in there. I now have to make a claim by completing a form, printing it off and sending it in the post with two copies of ID, certified by a solicitor, accountant or a member of the bank's staff (if you can get them to do it). What a palaver. They won't reactivate the account so I will then have to open another account (I shall use a different bank) which will doubltess be another palaver.I've not had much time for flying so it has been limited to washing up and doing two loads of washing and several of TDing.Tomorrow we're meeting a friend whom we haven't seen since before her birthday in June. I still have her birthday present, which I must wrap before I go to bed.7 -

Morning all,
Well done, HB, fantastic.
CoG, I had the same thing happen. Reinstating the account so that I could close it was a pain. First of all finding a branch that hadn’t closed, then finding someone who understood the problem and knew how to sort it out. It eventually happened, but not until the last day that the branch was open, so it was by the skin of my teeth. Good luck.
I gave up on indoor flying yesterday, as the water was off for a few hours, while the plumber sorted out new pipework and unravelled some mysteries of previous builders. I did do some outdoor flying at the allotment and deadheaded the garden pots. The ironing pile was located and cleared, and I sewed the hem on my dressmaking, so that I could clear my work table. I have a birthday influx in August, so need to get card creating. Slowly, slowly I am trying to dent the craft stash. It will take a while. Whoops.
I have a couple of jobs that I need to do at the allotment and think that I will force myself to go. I’m not feeling the allotment love atm, what with the lack of rain making it all such hard work. Then I really, really must clean the bathroom, if I don’t get distracted by sorting out at least one of the birthday cards.5 -

Good afternoon, I've had a busy morning so far today. I visited the stables to check on the horse and attended an interview.
My list for the rest of today
Do paid stuff
Check banking and direct debits
Empty the living room bin
Deal with the laundry that is still sitting in the TD from yesterday
Attend another interview
Book the tickets for the family trip next week, we are going to go on a ferry to one of the islands
Take DD over to her horse so she can exercise him and do the tasks that are required.
Sort out clothes and lunch for tomorrow, as I'm in a potential workplace for a trial day
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday.

I hope the interview went well and you get it if you still want it MMM.CoG and Fayolle I strongly suspect that you accounts were closed because none of the high street banks (or the post office come to that) do free accounts any more. If anyone knows any different I'd be delighted so please do tell. We tried everything we could think of last year to keep our Residents' Association account but nothing we tried worked. It's now in Belovéd's name and if anything happens to him I'll have to hope Probate doesn't treat the balance as part of his estate. It was the only option we could think of but it's a pain.WM twirling away like a mad thing after a couple of weeks of rain, third load in it at the moment, two almost dry on the sundeck.Volunteering done. There's been a growing and frustrating problem there regarding admin so today I suggested I job shadow all of the volunteers and vice versa so that they (and I) understand what we all do, what the pressures are on each of us, what happens to the information that's collected and why there are growing problems around it. I said I'd be happy to go in and do some extra sessions so next Tuesday and the following Monday I'll be going in and running through why it matters. I really shouldn't need to do this, but needs must when the system starts breaking down. I'm glad my suggestion was so well received. The newest member of staff is keen as mustard, and came racing up to see me straight away to say how thrilled she is about the idea, and has already told the two new volunteers at today's session and they're keen as mustard. All this is very good.Am now going to tackle Strands et al. Ahhhh.Better is good enough.7
