Second letter of claim from BW Lega!?

Hi all
Thanks
Have got a second letter of claim from BW legal and have until 25th July 2025 to reply. The first letter I received in January 2023 and I replied with a SAR request which they supplied.
I paid for parking at a water park but made a major keying error and entered a different vehicle reg. I originally asked Countrywide Parking if they would accept £20 but they refused and passed this on to BW Legal with a balance of £140
Do I need to reply again to this letter?
Any advise on what I should do next would be appreciated,
Thanks

I wouldn't. They may well just disappear back down into their burrow.
Obviously look out for any court claim.1 -
You probably should respond to B W Legal using the response template, if only to confirm the correct address for the service of papers1
-
OK is this the response template to use in this caseDear Sirs,
Your Ref. ############
Proposed Legal Proceedings
Claimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx Ltd
I refer to your letter of claim.
I confirm that my address is as follows
[Correct address here]
The alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
I am sourcing and seeking independent debt advice and as such, I formally request that this matter be put on hold for an additional 30 days, in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017 ('the PAP').0 -
Personally, I would adapt and use the LoC response template in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, which includes the correct address for the service of papers section1
-
Sorry but I can't find the template you are referring too, I find the newbie section quite difficult to navigate

Go to the NEWBIE sticky, click in it, scroll right to the top and then scroll slowly down until you find the second post, it even says Post 2 in red, this what to do when in receipt of a letter before claim.2

Morning allIs this the correct LOC response letter to use, I don't have an email address for BW L eagle they want me to use their portal
Dear Sirs,
Your Ref. ############
Proposed Legal Proceedings
Claimant: xxxxxx xxxxxxxx Ltd
I refer to your your letter of claim.
I confirm that my address for service for the time being - assuming you don't faff about and delay any claim - is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:
[Correct address here]
The alleged debt is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.
I am sourcing and seeking independent debt advice and as such, I formally request that this matter be put on hold for an additional 30 days, in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims 2017 ('the PAP').
I note that the amount being claimed has increased by a hugely exaggerated amount which the Government called "extorting money from motorists".
Don't send me your usual blather about that.
I have two questions, and under the PAP I am entitled to specific answers:
1. Am I to understand that the additional £70 represents what you lot dress up as a 'Debt Recovery' fee, and if so, is this nett or inclusive of VAT? If the latter, would you kindly explain why I am being asked to pay the operator’s VAT?
2. With regard to the principal alleged PCN sum: Is this damages, or will it be pleaded as consideration for parking?
Yours faithfully0 -
Yes it is, and use the portal if it doesn't want personal information, other than you confirming that you are the correct person1
-
The portal is requiring me to enter personal information which I do not wish to disclose

Is it personal information other than that which they already have; name address, email address, VRM, date of parking for example? If they are asking for a phone number, there are plenty of spoof numbers you can use.2
