I don’t think that’s a basis for rejection under CRA2015, so probably have to return it under the 14 day return policy which means driving it back up to them as per the conditions of the offer.

In any case, events have overtaken, the OP has delivered it back, so should be able to progress the return under the dealer's offered wording.

Yes we viewed it on a video and they delivered it (about 90 miles away) and we paid by bank transfer

(or just, "Distance Sale Regulations car") for an oversight on your rights. Worth mentioning you know the rights.

So got a reply, they're accepting the return, minus £75 we paid to get it delivered, £30 fuel, They charged us £195 for road tax and say we'll get it back from DVLA? Also charging us £75 to collect it. Annoyed because they've caused us so much hassle but glad we're getting the bulk of the money back, thanks everyone who helped its much appreciated x

If you're return under the Distant Selling Regs  they should also refund the delivery cost (but can charge for collection).

So need to try and get the delivery charge back, do I quote distance selling regs? Did that on the phone he said we changed our mind and there's nothing wrong with the car! Have an email trail showing otherwise. Do I say I'll go to the small claims court? Thanks for any advice
