    Also genuinely thanks for your views Pete, it’s a fresh perspective which I’m always welcome of. Just trying to do right by her.
    Your welcome and hopefully its put it in a different light. If UC decide it is DOC then UC will work out how long it will take her to use the £6K and then stop adding it to her capital.  For instance if she has £15K now and they decide she should have the £6K then her capital will be £21K (obvious I know)  but they will work out how long it will take her to use that £6K. Im not 100% on how this works out, but hopefully someone who knows will help.
