My wife had her latest PIP assesment back in December 2024.
We received the assessors report straight away which showed the assesor awarding over 12 points for both components.
The DWP have just wrote to us now saying they have looked at her claim and she is not entitled to PIP as they had 'innacurate information' regarding her health conditions from Spetember 2018 from when she original applied and we may need to pay all the money back.

Since Sept 2018 she has had a couple of assesements and has been awarded PIP using the same information and they had awarded her PIP and now suddenly they are saying she is not entitled.

Please help and advice what we can do about this as there is no way we can pay back 7 years of PIP money back her conditions have not changed as seen in her medical assement so why have they come to this conclusion.

Wow.... have they specified what the inaccurate information was according to them?

I would seek help from an advice agency such as Citizens Advice or Welfare Rights as this sounds a complex situation.

You need to find out what's the "innacurate information"

I would query this with the PIP line and ask if it has been sent in error - there may be another document they can see. (I once called after receiving a Decision letter that didn't make a lot of sense and it did indeed turn out to have been sent in error with the correct decision letter, my current one, following later). I wonder if the year date is even correct. It seems strange on the face of it to make such a massive decision and yet not detail how they reached their conclusion or indeed what descriptors apply (unless they're attached). I've never heard or seen anything like it. It almost suggests there is a lack of evidence for the claimed problems yet they'd assessed previously and a decision maker has concluded otherwise. What on earth would trigger such a review that would undo previous decisions. It's as fascinating as it is frightening. It strikes me that it is almost as if the underpinning medical conditions have been found to not exist - that sort of level of evidence change.

Definitely call them. I have never heard of this before. It could be  scam.

I'm puzzled by this. With PIP you fill out a claims form and if you can supply evidence to support the claim, and then a possible assessment. A DM will look at everything and decide if an award can be made and if so what the award is.

I stand to be corrected but if the DWP made a mistake back in 2018 then it would be official error and not recoverable unless they are claiming some sort of fraud.
If you wife and been on enhanced for both since 2018 that got to be over £60k so agree with finding a local advice agency help ASAP.

its not a scam the letter looks like official DWP with her NI on and everything.

Her original claim date was September 2018. Since then if I can remeber correctly she has had a couple of extensions due to covid and 1 assesment.

Througout this period she had been getting standard care and low mobility rate.

From this latest assesment in Dec 2024 from the assesors report she had awarded 20 points for care and 22 points for mobility. This letter they have sent today shows zero points for everything.

we had not heard anything back till today with this letter and everytime we phoned to chase it up they said it is with the 'enhanced review team' they are looking at it.

This has totally shocked my wife she is feeling suicidal and we are terrified of ringing them.

I can completely understand that (and I think I would be initially be feeling that way too) but realistically, what bad thing could happen from phoning them that hasn't already happened?  The letter you've received says pretty much the worst thing that could have happened with her claim, it surely can't get any worse from phoning them.

But ultimately you really do need to try to get an appointment with someone like the CAB for them to help you get to the bottom of this.

For what it's worth, the letter says they'll let you know 'if' you need to pay anything back. So it's not a certainty they're going to try and make you repay the full 7 years of payments. I know it's not easy, but try not to unduly worry until you have received further information from them.
