Agree with the others here - I've searched for any August 1st uplift, can't find a thing.

'The State Pension is described in legislation as a “benefit” in order to root it within the existing social security framework as a statutory scheme paid out of monies in the National Insurance Fund.'

It was a joke
In response to what Booneruk wrote
Careful, don't poke the "Pensions aren't a benefit" crowd
Hence why i wrote "had to get that in"
best wishes Gen X and Gen Z.0 -
I saw the article on a website too - clostridia.net-2

50 a day is good going though - perhaps MuckRack's counting articles which have been posted on 20 Reach sites as 20 bylines each?1 -

You youngsters don't have to worry, the government are doing their best to get rid of average pensioners.
No doctors here, surgery sold to a private company. Receptionist gives you a date for a blood test and you get the meds suggested from remote workers somewhere in the world spelled wrong, not related to your history and sent to a random pharmacy.
Add that to freezing at home.
I'm convinced it's to get the pension costs down by removing the pensioners.
But be warned youngsters, your turn will come 😉I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well
