No need to assume anything,  you follow the advice in the 8 steps in the defence template thread

Download the N180,  fill it in and email it as an attachment to both parties,  CNBC and the lawyers too

No paperwork required,  no scans,  no posting anything

Either do or dont,  its your choice , emails are free anyway  ( makes no difference to me, it's your case  )
  • Well a little update, For to post the phone mediation has been arranged for 19/12/25. so see what happens on that.
  • Well the Mediation call not long happened.. To be fair the mediator was actually very reasonable and ok to deal with.
I offered to cover the current parking fee of £7 to cover the original time as a gesture of will.
The current number is £289 with court fees.. instant offer of £200, then a counter offer of £100 after a call to them. So I guess we shall wait for some letters to hit the door mat.......

Well well well. A court date has arrived for mid May. I guess I have to go and gather some evidence for the defence of poor signage and the like. Any other tips would be helpful. Thanks

Study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements

Your defence has already been filed, so is on record already

Study other recent similar cases over the last 18 months

Check when the hearing fee deadline date is, plus the WS deadline date, both are before the hearing date

Keep checking your email inbox and spam folders for their N279 discontinuation document, usually before the hearing fee deadline date

The recent WS by @JackR1 (April 2026) includes HHJ Moloney's transcript as well as Edward, Smith, Wilkinson, Chan and Akande. Worth a read and to crib from.

But the claim will be discontinued before the hearing fee payment deadline, anyway.
