Smart Parking PCN from 2022 and DCB Legal threats.

I had a Smart Parking PCN from a fairly known theme park in Kent back in December 2022. Ignored it obsvs. The evidence they provided was pretty terrible. pics were awful.
The car was bit of pull car at the time loads of people borrowed it etc inc my dad whom sadly I lost in April this year. So really struggling a bit he would frown at me paying then blood sucking cretins.
I have had all of the threatening letters form the usual suspects. DRP, Zenith, BW Legal, DCB, GST Law. of course ignored of those and got some free toilet paper.
The GST lot sent me a LBC, so using the forum newbies section I sent them the template response via email edited accordingly of course. Heard nothing from them.
The this DCB Legal LBC turned up sent the same response to them as CST in the same manner.
The response ''acknowledgment email'' I'm guess was written by a 13 year old. The they sent me this one a couple weeks later. Text copied below. Sent it to me 30/5/25. only just seen it as I used a email I don't monitor. Any idea of next steps?
Thanks muchly for your time people.
When the terms were breached, in order to identify the Registered Keeper of the vehicle, our client submitted a request for details to the DVLA. Your details were provided and thereafter notices were sent to you by our Client at your serviceable address. Those notices asked you to either make payment or, if you were not driving, nominate a driver by providing their name and full address. You did neither and as such you are now pursued on the basis that you were driving. On the balance of probabilities, if you were not the driver, you would have nominated.
The sum added is a contribution to the actual costs incurred by our Client as a result of your non-payment. Our Client’s employees have spent time and material attempting to recover the debt. This is not our Client’s usual business and the resources could have been better spent in other areas of the business. Had you of paid as per the Contract, there would have been no need for recovery action so the amount due would not have increased.
Please note, the HMRC ‘VAT Supply and Consideration manual’ (VATSC06140), which was last updated on 02 September 2020, confirmed that Parking Charges fall out of the scope of VAT.
You now have 30 days from the date of this email to make payment of the outstanding balance of £170.00. Failure to make payment will result in a Claim being issued against you without any further reference.
Payment can be made via bank transfer to our designated client account: -
- Account Name: DCB Legal Ltd Client Account
- Sort Code: 20-24-09
- Account Number: 60964441
You must quote the correct case reference (removed by Forum Team) when making payment. If you do not, we may be unable to correctly allocate the payment. If further action is taken by us as a result of an incorrect reference being quoted, you will be liable for any further fees or costs incurred.
Alternatively, you can contact DCB Legal Ltd on 0203 838 7038 to make payment over the telephone or online at ''Their link''.
Kind Regards,

Welcome. All normal.
Search the forum for that VAT acronym!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
