CIVIL ENFORCEMENT LTD - COSTA COFFEE PARKING INVOICE

Options
Hello good folks.

I was sent an invoice by Civil Enforcement ltd for an invoice of £100 reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.

Now firstly I have approached the Costa branch where it happened, the assistant manager said they have been advised they can't help (doesn't seem like the first time they've had this situation), I asked if they own the land or are tenants and she replied the car park is not owned by them, I left as wasn't going to get anywhere.

So here I am to seek the next step.

I'm the registered keeper but I wasn't driving and I haven't appealed to Civil enforcement yet, so no driver details have been disclosed. The person driving went to meet their friend who also received the same invoice, so I'm trying to help and advise them too.

I did read the newbies thread but got a little lost, so any help would be welcome. I will upload said Invoice, it does comply with being issued within 14 days. I have obviously redacted any identifiable personal info.

Ignore them, but worth looking at the signage. Used to be CP Plus and you were allowed 4 hours on Streetview, but also some parts were infested with Pakring Eye.

What are the instructions like for "obtaining a permit"? Presumably some sort of iPad?

Signage does say 90 minutes free and in store they had some signs and a tablet on the side as you walk in, although as soon as you walk in you'd probably miss it. The person who took the car went to meet a friend and obviously didn't notice the time limit/signage or iPad and lost track of time.

If the Costa shop won't help, then I'd never go back there.
