It's very important that people like you tell the Government that you have no faith in the parking industry and the DRA demands are a pathetic attempt to extort money. The DRAs also fail to trace addresses and they cause CCJs (show your case evidence).
THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO PAY DRA FEES ARE THOSE WHO CAN LEAST AFFORD IT, WHEN THEY ARE DUPED INTO PAYMENT PLANS.

Couple of updates since 25 July when I submitted my set-aside applications:
2nd September (6 weeks after application) - Received a CNBC Notice of Transfer of Proceedings advising the claim has been transferred to County Court and to await further details
13th October (6 weeks after CNBC Notice) - Received Notice of Hearing of Application from allocated District Judge. Hearing date fixed for 15 April 2026.
Under other circumstances, I might have been unbothered by this hearing date being 6 months away, but I've got my current 2-year fixed mortgage expiring in April. I'm worried this CCJ remaining on my record until then will hinder my ability to remortgage or influence a willing provider to charge me higher interest rates. In this cost-of-living crisis, this will affect my disposable income for at least another two years - a period during which I plan to get married and start a family. I already had one of my credit card providers just cut my credit card allowance from £1,200 to £200 without explanation and this happened just after the CCJ was registered.
Is there a way to appeal to the Judge to bring the hearing forward based on the above or am I at their mercy now?
Secondly I still have to prepare a skeleton argument and a draft order. I'm guessing this is the right time to send both to the court? Or should I wait until the hearing?
As always I appreciate your guidance @Coupon-mad0 -
@1505grandad
Please has anyone got experience of something like this? Trial date too far into the future, any chance of getting the judge/court to bring dates forward? After going through my original N244 form I now realise there was an opportunity to put a request for ASAP dates in there, but I didn't think much of it as having scoured through previous threads this did not seem to be a common problem.
please I will appreciate any guidance here as it's now been 2 weeks and worried the judge might not look kindly upon any application to bring trial dates forward if I delay too much.0 -
Unlikely given how busy the courts are
Which court is it1 -
It's Hertford County Court.ChirpyChicken said:Unlikely given how busy the courts are

So essentially I'm stuck with those dates? Damn, and I'm not even sure if I judgment will be entered same date. This is truly distressing.
Thanks for your insight though,

That is an exceptionally back logged area. You will have to wait sorry
The order then has to be produced and then the registry trust informed . So I would say allow a month to 6 weeks for the CCJ to be removed and a few weeks for the order in writing.
You have been given the next available date for judicial availability. If that changes then you may get a revised date but I doubt it1 -
Hi @ChirpyChicken thanks for your help. I guess I will just have to wait then.ChirpyChicken said:That is an exceptionally back logged area. You will have to wait sorry

Also, on advice from this forum, I had reserved sending in my draft judgement order and skeletal argument until the case was assigned to a judge. I'm guessing now is the best time to send this through?0 -
