Morning, it's been a busy morning so far. I've been to the stables to put the horse out into the field, had my morning cup of tea, put the first load in the WM, attended a doctor's appointment and submitted my last assignment for English.
Now that all the assessments/exams have been done, it's a case of waiting (28 days and counting until results) to see if I pass them and can get an unconditional offer (currently sitting with a conditional) to study for my PGDE.
My list for the rest of today
Do paid stuff (including sending invoices)
Sort out and send over the paperwork that uni has requested
Polish the mirrors
Look into activities to do whilst on holiday in a couple of weeks
Delete 50 emails from personal inbox
Dust downstairs for cobwebs
Check and update the diary for the rest of this month
Laundry x 3
Check banking and d/d's
Make a payment on my credit card
Tidy away coursework folders, notebooks etc.
Make a shopping list of what is needed for August when the kids go back to school (going to be optimistic and include a list for myself)
Hoover the living room carpet
Take DD to her maths tutor appointment
Go to the chemist and get the prescription that the doctor gave me this morning
Go to the country store and get a couple of things that are needed for the horse
Take DD over the yard to deal with the horse
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday and hugs to those who want/need them.5 -
Morning all,
Jazzing it up a bit by getting to the allotment after a quick cuppa, watering, then coming back for coffee and a slice of toast. Currently enjoying both in the peace of the garden, as DH is put running errands for DD, including taking broken stuff from her rented house to the tip. I will need to make an effort after this, as flying from yesterday’s list consisted of the deadheading and washing / refilling the fruit bowl. Whoops, bottom of the class for me, again 🙃. Wm is swishing, so that’s a start.
Happy Friyay to all those toiling away at the coalface today. Hopefully your weekend starts soon.
Coffee drunk, so no more excuses. Well, none that I can think of right now, but I’ll work on it.5 -

Good idea, Valli.Been a busy flylady. Dusted downstairs, vacuumed most of the house, s&s bathroom and downstairs loo, HHI, and finally pr!£ked out some pansy babies. I even managed to clean 2 kitchen windows, inside only.
Out for dinner this evening, guess I had better find some glad rags out.6 -
Cleaned the outside windows, except the front door panel and main lounge window (too hot) plus clean the inside of the conservatory. feeling pleased with myselfBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen and bleached the sink and washing-up pad. I also washed and dried the towels and put out fresh ones, empited the kitchen bin and took the bag of rubbish down. Today was too hot again to do much, so I didn't. I did however write a card to our elderly friend in Plymouth, parcel up a shirt I was returning and took both to the post office. After lunch I parcelled up two Amazon returns and took them to a local Tesco Metro for Evri to collect. I also took two bags of recycling down and discovered that for the second week running (and despite ringing the council last week) they hadn't emptied the bin. When I got back in I rang the council and asked them again to come and empty it. They're normally quite good about such things so I was surprised they hadn't acted after the first call, and also that they'd missed the collection for a second week.Whilst I was out I noticed a Japanese supermarket has opened and I popped in to see what they sold. It was mainly food (fresh, dried and frozen) but most of it was things I'd never heard of. I bought a small can of pineapple drink, which was still and had little bits of pineapple in it - it was quite nice but a little too sweet for my taste. I also bought some KitKats (with Milo). I had to ask what Milo is and it turns out it's a hot chocolate drink. The KitKats came in a sealed paper bag and when I opened it there were 10 tiny KitKats in there, individually wrapped. They seemed sinialr to ordinary KKs but a bit darker. I also watered some house plants and did the usual food prep, washing up and helping A.Hope everyone has had a good day.7

Morning all xx
Another week at the coalface survived. And now tis weeeeekeeeennnd woot woot. 💃
My Saturdailies list keeps growing but that's OK. If it helps to reset me and my home it can go on the list. Whether it'll get done or not is a different matter altogether, but tis cooler so it's possible 😎
I woke up at 5.50 am, realised that it was Saturday, grinned, turned over, and ....woke up at 7.30 am. Feeling a bit groggy - might have been better off getting up at 6 - but heyho.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, completed Connections with no lives lost, and supped my first brew.
Brew 2 and breakfast next then first stage of the Saturdailies is to reset myself:
Fresh towels in bathroom
Shower
Wash my hair
Shave
Moisturise
Get dressed in all clean clothes.
Bring down laundry hamper
Which leads to the second stage:
Sort washing into loads
Set first load swishing
Followed by:
Feed the birds
(Birdbath is full)
Put out the rubbish and recycling
New bin bags in bins
Then:
WUDUPA
By lunchtime I'm clean, the laundry is washed and, hopefully, pegged out, and all the pots have been washed and put away.
Reset for a new week.
I need to build on this foundation. But at least I now have a foundation. Touch 🪵.
Love to all

Morning all,
Cooler and short spells of mizzle here. Not really enough to wet anything but hey ho, it has brought the temperatures down.
Not moving in Round’s league this morning, but that’s ok after yesterday’s flying fit. I have a parcel delivery sometime today, so am keeping an ear out for that. Otherwise I have:
watered the houseplants;
swept up odd bits of debris, including spilt spices where a lid had come off the cayenne in the drawer;
got out 2 leftover meals from the freezer for dinner, including one mystery box with no label. Out for a drink with friends this evening, so it’s a quick grab and go dinner before we leave, with the added bonus of getting 2 boxes out of the freezer;
set beetroot to cook in the mw, ready to make a chocolate beetroot cake when the electricity is free later.
I have skirt material to cut out. Now that it is cooler, I might actually get round to doing it.
Have a good day all x6
