Afternoon all.
This morning I have
- cleaned the bathroom thoroughly, including a bit of the floor that K never seems to notice (mind you, she hasn't been free to clean for me for since Easter, so it would probably have got bad anyway)
- hung out WMx1, started the second load, and sorted the towels etc for 2 more loads
- dusted and de-webbed the LR, kitchen and hallway, after which DH hoovered them
- bagged up all the stuff for the CS, pharmacy, library, and church book box, ready for delivery
- written a shopping list.
I may or may not get out shopping this afternoon. Frankly I'm still shattered after driving back non-stop from the funeral yesterday, and I'm very glad that today started 10 degrees cooler than it was at bedtime last night - though it's warming up again now. We're going out to the theatre this evening to a one-man show and I don't want to be falling asleep during that, so I might grab a siesta and shop tomorrow instead. We can live with what we've got in.

Afternoon all,
That drop in temperature first thing prodded my guag. Not massively, but at least I have done something. Wm x 1 done, the toppling pile of ironing accumulated from the good drying days has been defeated.I went to the allotment first thing to water, as I had left it to survive the last couple of days. All looking remarkably green, so no harm done. Watched the mizzle coming over the fields as I was filling the cans, but it amounted to nothing apart from making my hair super frizzy. There are some pickings to sort out, but that will be tomorrow morning. First tomatoes harvested from the gh, if 4 cherry tomatoes count as a harvest.DD has driven back to the uni city for a few days, including having some paid casual work, and DH is cutting the front hedge. The afternoon is my own, not sure what my plan is as guag seems to have exhausted itself earlier.6 -

Hope you like the list!

Morning everyone. I'm a little late posting today, but so far, I've been to the stables to deal with DD's horses, sat outside and had my morning cup of tea, and I've just completed the first of two exams that I'm taking today.
My list for the rest of today
Complete the last exam that I need to get done ahead of the 10am deadline tomorrow
Review and submit my essay for English
Take the dog for a walk (some me time and relaxation after my exam stress)
Speak to DH regarding getting a DW
Send invoices to freelance clients
Sort out paperwork that uni has requested (in the hope I pass my 4 assessments so my conditional offer becomes an unconditional)
Polish the mirrors
Look into activities to do whilst on holiday in a couple of weeks
Delete 50 emails from personal inbox
Take DD to her maths tutor session
Take DD to the stables so she can deal with the horse
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday, hugs to those who want/need them.

Aarrghhhh!!! Just lost a long post when the site decided midstream to see if I was human. No idea what was in, apart from, Yes, Valli, I love the list. It fits with my currently very short attention span perfectly. There was more ramblings, but now I am going to deadhead for 15 minutes and be on list. If the pooter doesn’t decide to test my human credentials again….5

If it's crossed off, it's done:
Clean as many windows as you like [I don't like, and can't reach up anyway! - will have to wait for K to come]
Vacuum all carpeted floors downstairs
Vacuum all carpeted floors upstairs
Sweep hard floors then mop
Get a winter coat or two washed and on the line
S&S bathroom
S&S kitchen
bleach plugholes, overflows and toilets
Can any doormats be washed? [No, they're all coir, so I've hoovered them]
If you use a mop & bucket use the dirty water to rinse out a dustbin, if it’s empty [It is, but I don't]
15 minutes in the garden dead heading roses/pansies/petunias etc will get you a second flowering
Waggle a duster on a stick into corners and round coving [Aunt Kate's head did her duty]
Check fruit bowl - we don’t want fruit flies [It was empty, so has been washed]
Wipe door handles, light switches and banister rails
Straighten rooms
Bin bag dance [Done yesterday]
I've also sorted out financial and diary things.
I'm about to take Rosie out for a walk, then go shopping, and will do some deadheading this evening whilst watering pots.
Hope everyone is feeling a bit cooler xxx5 -
OO Ionafan wins the flyprize today!
I have emptied out recycling into bin - that doesn't go until next week. I've done a little job on TEAMS and I have cut MORE stamps off MORE postcards and put the stamps in the bag for a charity. If anyone has a pet stamp-using charity feel free to shout now.
Next I am going to bag the bras for Smalls for All - mums (and they are not very mumsy at all, DDs and one of my besties mentioned she had some so it's a HUGE bag to go.
Also battery replaced in living room clock and clock now back on wall. Probably came down in February for the decorating.

Thank you Valli x
For the record, the pots have each had a fair amount of water (they've got saucers underneath, so it doesn't go to waste) and I did manage to do a bit of deadheading. I also snaffled some alpine strawberries.....
Here are some of the charities that collect used stamps and sell them on to raise money for their good causes. Also a lot of the Air Ambulance charities take used stamps. HTH.

Thanks for that, Iona. Lots of worthy causes there but I think Alzheimer’s society might be where I send them this time.
I found a photo of mum at a nurses prize giving, clearly having won a prize. Yesterday i found an empty envelope labelled with derails of the prize giving, so nice to have that confirmed.
Im making afternoon tea for my ill friend today so i need to think of sandwich fillings… sans cucumber.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
