On that point and it applies to any parking or anyhting else. Get it in writing and/or the name, date and time the person agreed to this. You can come unstuck if you are misinformed and/or the T&C's change, and/or the company enforces the rules.knightstyle said:No we were told to just register our car details once only and that info would be added to an exemption list.3 -
Well after more than 2 weeks of hastling Asda, emails to ceo, letter to Rachel Eyre the new Chief Customers Officer they have agreed to cancel just one PCN!!! As you can imagine we are not satisfied with this and I think now is the time to call the press and gather outside the store.
As i pointed out one volunteer has 3 PCNs and the machine to log in is still on the counter with no warning!3 -
sounds like a good move3

Well finally I have managed to get all 7 PCNs cancelled, some by Asda head office, some in store and one by PE.
It took a lot of persistence, 23 emails to Asda, and I was drafting a letter to our MP when the final two were cancelled.
Thank you all for help and support.5 -
Well done in getting all these cancelled. Asda are pretty good in cancelling, with the right approach. Would you mind linking this thread in the 'Successful Complaints ..... Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

knightstyle said:A group of volunteers who feed the less fortunate have for many years parked in a large Asda car park close to the hall where meals are served.
They gave their car details to staff at the Asda enquiries desk and so dod not get PCNs for overstaying the time limit.
Recently the car park was taken over by Parking Eye and of course PCNs have started to arrive.
Local Asda managers are useless so I am looking to get in touch with someone at Asda who can get this sorted as many of the volunteers are elderly and frightened by the aggressive PE tactics.knightstyle said:Well after more than 2 weeks of hastling Asda, emails to ceo, letter to Rachel Eyre the new Chief Customers Officer they have agreed to cancel just one PCN!!! Hope you and the volunteers are all keen to set aside an hour or two this week to do the government's Public Consultation before the deadline.See this thread: -
We understand that you/they may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that.
It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.
I've written some guidance on that thread. I have covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.
Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.
CLOSES ON FRIDAY. Just days to go.
