Hi, hope you are well.
I'm absolutely stressed and stuck, overwhelmed with forum information about fighting unfair tickets. I'm such a slower reader/English is my second language. But let's do this, I need help.

1. I've been receiving/chesed since Jan/2024 by Horizon parking for "Exceeding maximum stay period " at BigTesco/Sheffield.
2. First letter - received 12/01/24 by Horizon parking - Amount: £70.00
*Appeal - 13/01/24 (I've not received letter with discount)-
   *it was rejected on 19/01/24
3. Horizon- charging £80.00 (date received 12/02/24)
    * I Stopped communicating

4. Debt Recovery plus (05/03/24) charging £125.00
5. Debt Recovery plus (27/03/24) charging £125.00 and also (10/04/24) same amount.

6. SINCE THAN GLADSTONES has been chasing me.

7. Gladstones : Letter before Claim
(received in Feb/25) charging £150.00
- March/25 - Warning letter

- April/25 - CLAIM FORM ( Amount claimed: £0.00)
***** this was discontinued after a week) I was on holiday,  so even before checking in Money claim online. So I just thought that was it !!

-May/25- Letter saying " due to technical error the amount claimed £0.00". I should pay 150.00 or court

- 22May/25 - Letter saying to pay 150.00 in 7 days or court claim ( amount 235.00)

June/25 - CLAIM FORM -
Issue date: 11 June 2025
Amount claimed: £167.34
Court fee : £35.00
Legal: £50.00
Total: 252.34

I had filed the Acknowledgement of Service- on line -16/06/25

HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND AND how to proceed. I've been reading newbies.
1. What they discontinued the claim, and started a new one. Can it be used against them, as if was an "Error" that I don't believe,  it's more like a terrorising process to kill the pray slowly! The stress, time and nights badly slept. Don't you agree that is a kind of killer game, or modern scam.
2. I remember attending a council course. I'm the car keeper.
I was very surprised and mad, when I received the first PCN from Horizon more than 40 days later, how can those companies just charge whatever they want. It's not fair. And that's why I need help.
Any help please!! I think I've got 2 more weeks to get a defence done .

Don't admit who was driving.  It's not relevant.  Sorry to say that also means your personal loss isn't relevant either.  (but please accept my condolences - that's a lot of loss in a short period)

Others more knowledgeable than myself will be along to help soon.

These appear to be 2 separate claims.  And, not being an expert, I can't tell if these are the sort of things you should ignore or not.

Anyone else out there able to assist????

I remember that Gladstones filed incorrect paperwork on several or more claims, so eventually they would or did discontinue them, regardless,  they have now filed correct paperwork so you have to defend the claim

Compare the sparse POC and low total claimed on the April claim, they have presumably discontinued the April claim and replaced it with the more detailed June claim. There will be dozens of these in play,  it's a start over

I notice that the issue date was 11th June,  aos was subsequently completed,  so you must draft your defence over the next 2 weeks,  same as others do, in your case your deadline is 4pm on Monday the 14th July,  by email

You want to use the correct template via the second post in the newbies sticky thread and the defence template thread

The alleged breach is not pleaded in the POC,  so you want to use the Chan and Akande defence template,  not the standard template

The second claim form shows no signature or details of the Claimant's Representative. Not sure whether that has any consequence, but worth a comment in your WS.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think that recent cases had those details on the back of the form, the OP should check first, because maybe the form has changed   ?

Thanks for the comments and help. It's seems easy to use and go through this process,  but I hardly know how to make sense of all the information. Nevertheless slowly but surely gonna keep trying.
    1. The fact that Gladstones filed paperwork incorrectly (purposely I believe,  as fear and modern torture strategy to make vulnerable, fearful or those who can't ask or deal with this to pay! It's unfair and extremely hard for me. Any way. Can this "fake" error , be use on my defence?
    2. Umkomaas comment about not signature on the second claim. The form has been checked and I can't see any signature at all. Can it be another strategy?
    3. Just to show how much it's has been stressful, it took me more than one hour to be able to make this comments here. English is my 2nd language, so everything is very slow and I'm not young.  😂😂😂
Let's fight unfair parking charges from private companies.
    4. Would be possible to contact someone by email or private on this forum,  just to finalise my defence as it would minimise the amount of headaches and stressful time.
Thank you, I'm trying my best to finish it in time. I've done nothing this weekend thinking to get it done. Is that any way to discuss it privately? It takes me so much energy expressing it in words. Thanks

    1) no , probably a glitch and because they discontinued the earlier case, then redrafted and started over, nothing to see there,  move on , deal with the new case and forget about that error that happened in dozens of cases

    2)  no , it's either an omissions or error,  or on the back, or on another page

    3) regardless of the stress caused to all victims,  you are picked to play, even with a broken leg or flu etc

    4) no, everything is in the open here,  no private tuition, or you are free to pay a legal company like the claimant is doing   ( or take the free advice from the volunteers here  )

You must soldier on,  accept the advice and get on with it, otherwise you risk a CCJ and 6 years of credit and hire and contract issues   )

My advice   ? Knuckle down and get on with it

This claim for £0.00 shows that the CNBC is not fit for purpose, the amount claimed should be a positive number (plus filing fee).
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

There were plenty of them on here with incorrect details, a critical error,  but no biggie if they discontinued the faulty claims, plus the CNBC mcol system is not fit for purpose as regards parking company claims, been known about for a long time that improvements need to be made. I will start off the history lesson from 2 or 3 months ago

But regardless,  the OP should be dealing with the live claim,  not the dead claim

Despite English being your second language, you seem to coping well.  As others have said, press on with defence based on the Chan & Akande version see here: -
