    Thanks all

I pay basically nothing for 500mbps in Spain, where I am moving from
I need this level of download speed as both wife and I work remotely.......happy to pay a fair rate accordingly - its an essential for us that we don't mind paying for (literally helps keep us both in a job!)

Will see if I can get through to Vodafone and get to the bottom of why I no longer have a My Vodafone account........once sorted I will have an offer from them and maybe a new phone offer too as I am due an upgrade.......so hoping to get a bit of a bundle deal - considering I have been with them for 20yrs + !!!

If uptime is important ("literally keeps us both in a job") you might want to look at a business broadband contract, or at the very least a mobile data fallback. Consumer broadband has no guaranteed reliability and we hear on this forum of people who are without service for days or weeks.
Unless you're live editing HD video over your broadband, you're unlikely to need anything like 500Mbps. Zoom / Teams will run entirely happily on 30Mb FTTC.

No fibre to the property available here and I work remotely on 80/20 FTTC (I get 76/19 which once the packet overhead is considered is as good as it can be) and suffer no latency. I don't need to download anything to my local PC as it is all done via RDP so files stay at the workplace end, and it is like sitting at the computer in the office, whether I'm at home or at my official workplace.

Are you uploading and downloading massive files all the time to your devices at home which is why you need the throughput?

Given it's both your livelihoods, why are you considering domestic ISPs that will treat a break in your service with no more seriousness than that of someone that uses their connection only for checking instagram? Not an issue if you can head into the office if the connection goes down, but if the office is in Malaga or New York and you're in London that becomes a challenge.

I use Andrews and Arnold at home and have done since 2003. If they didn't exist I'd probably use Watchfront or Uno.
