Ugh…I’ve had an entire horror film (destruction of human race type) playing in my head as a dream all night, even came back after waking and it’s a genre i’m not a fan of and deliberately avoid.
Clothes clearing done…laughed when I found a concealed calci-D tablet in a pocket…mum hated taking them. Irritated with SD and some of his behaviour. Almost all clothes schlepped to sally army. Wehave the best performing SA chazzer in the country, apparently. Well i’m not surprisedgiven it’s huge…was a Mr L before, and has a car park, making it the destination of choice when chucking kindly donating stuff.

Well done, Valli, on the clothes sorting.
Kaz, I hope you get to the bottom of the mess up.
We went out with friends last night, so I have leftovers for lunch, while DH is out again, meeting another friend for lunch.
Blackcurrants finally prepped for jam making, once Mr M brings the sugar later with the delivery. HHI has cleared the pile. Shelf and hooks up in the lobby, so that coats and DH’s hats have a home to go to.
I’m hoping to get a bit of dressmaking in this afternoon, as it’s too windy outside to do anything useful.5 -
We returned home yesterday after a lovely holiday, though the heat was exhausting. And today DH has admitted for the first time that he was "disappointed" by his health - he certainly proved not to be as physically fit as he had previously insisted he was. Never mind, we both managed not to set foot in a hospital or doctor's surgery while we were away, we enjoyed all the different places we went to, and we met some lovely people of a wide range of nationalities.
I did a big food shop yesterday evening, to re-stock the fridge. Today I have unpacked my suitcase, put both suitcases away in the loft, and done WMx5 which has dried beautifully out on the whirligig. Rosie came home this morning from her holiday with L, has checked out all her favourite "nests", and is now just chilling wherever I am.
Some emails need attention, and J the gardener will soon be wanting another cuppa. Our kind NDN has been watering the pots for us, so we have a good display of petunias and other flowers, and the runner beans and tomatoes are all enjoying the warmth.
How is Pops doing, round? xx
Hope you're making good progress, Natty xx
Belated congratulations to your DD, Fayolle xx xx

Sympathy to Valli Girl, I hope she is ok.
I’m glad you had a good time, Iona, and no medical visits to worry about.
Late check in from me today, and I’m not sure that there is much to report, so here goes…
I went to the allotment for a couple of hot hours this morning. One bag of weeds, more of the nuisance raspberry canes removed, a small harvest of early summer veg - the first dwarf beans (the plants that made it through the rampaging slugs), a few sugar-snaps, some broad beans, brightly coloured young chard, a couple of beetroots and baby carrots, and some new potatoes. By the time that I had picked / dug that lot and walked home, I was shattered. Onwards and upwards…veg dealt with, 5 pots of blackcurrant jam made this afternoon. Wm x 1, WULTD (DH has just DUPA), dw needs running as soon as I have finished this cup of tea. DH has started stripping out the downstairs toilet, hoping that the builder will come back with a start date. Otherwise it will be even more of a sight for sore eyes than it was before.
DH is off to the uni city tomorrow to move DD home. Not sure where those 4 years went.6
