Our local Tesco Extra, with a very large car park, has this week had all Horizon signage removed, I wonder who they will be signing up with next?

I wouldn't get too excited. Ours were removed and replaced with new Horizon signs and also YourParkingSpace green signs if you wish to pay for longer.3

Some are run by APCOA I think.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

These are the only signs that have appeared dotted around the car park about 6 in total apart from the usual Tesco ones. No entrance signs, nothing warning of any charges and certainly no contract offered:It says in small writing "see main terms and conditions board for full details" but there isn't one!4

Yeah, I suspect there will be some T&Cs somewhere. All the signs are the same colour, so from a distance they just look like duplicate signage. Seems to be a Your Parking Space / Parkmaven (who have a weird synonymous relationship) tactic.Although they are in effect nothing to do with Horizon and a middle man for Tesco who have decided they could make some money by hiring out parking spaces.Horizon must be very pis sed off. All their cash is now going to YPS and Tesco: https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/business/case-studies/tesco
You've also got the weird setup where half the signs are threatening a PCN for overstaying, and the other half are encouraging you to overstay for a smaller fee.2 -

"MORE PROFIT TO BE MADE WITHOUT PARKING SCAMMERS ?"
The old saying is so true ..... "YOU DON'T BITE THE HAND WHO FEES YOU" IE= CUSTOMERS1 -
The offer to park for longer than 2 hours appears reasonable at first glance, but:
What about drivers who need more time due to mobility issues?
Doesn't this just prove that the maximum stay period, which is supposed to ensure good availability of spaces, is really a revenue generating exercise? Renting out spaces to commuters doesn't help store customers find a space.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'4 -

I don't know why they don't have a single "free for 2 hours, then you pay" system.
The fact they have two PPCs sharing the land gets weirder and weirder the more I think about it, considering Horizon are the ones getting shafted here 😆2 -

Because "YourParkingSpace Ltd" are not members of either BPA/IPC even though their sign refers to a parking charge being issued for non payment.1 -

Renting out spaces to commuters doesn't help store customers find a space. The thing about that is we live in a small coastal town the car park has always had a two hour limit and obviously people use it to go to the beach not far away not a problem, no leaving site terms and conditions. But Horizon who managed the car park by ANPR (camera still there even though their signs have gone) allowed you to stay all day for £3 but there was no reference to this in the car park, I only found out on their website. It still shows on their website but now only by a monthly or yearly charge.Your parking space shows you can book at £4 per day plus 60p service charge. Two different booking companies, no mention of a PCN fee or ANPR and Tesco who bleat about parking company needed to manage car park so there is always a space for customers, now hiring out their spaces. All a bit strange and contradictory and the motorist is expected to know all the rules the moment they drive in!4
