I was wondering whether the Boiler Upgrade scheme (BUS) comes under the category of No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) Or is this something one can make use of without violating the NRPF especially for those who are on Visa?.

The grant goes direct to the installer, so you won't benefit unless you buy a qualifying product.

Yes, it will go to the installer, but the application will be made on behalf of the customer. So in essence the customer is benefitted from the grant

NRPF only really applies to benefits such as Universal Credit, Tax Credits, and Housing Benefits.
The BUS is a grant, so comes out of a different pot, so quite likely doesn't fall under the NRPF rules.

The first reply to this thread (and the page linked from it) appears to list which benefits you're excluded from if you have NRPF.
The BUS isn't on the list, so I'd expect you to qualify for it.
