Ive emailed the guy, i knew he was online because i found him on a social networking site, and he has assured me that its on its way and is confused as to why ebay pulled his listings.

But there is no reason why you shouldn’t contact someone that you have an outstanding deal with. As Soolin writes above, they encourage communication as the first step to resolve any dispute.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the laptop turns up.0 -
One solution occurs to me for the credit card versus bank account situation.
Have two accounts.
A selling only account that is linked to a bank account only.
A buying only account that is linked to a credit card only.
This prevents the accidental purchase of something with PayPal funded by a bank account.
I know a lot of regulars on here have multiple accounts and may like to comment on the pros and cons.0 -
Mmm.. I have two paypal accounts (and that's the max)
One is micropayments, lower fees for small payments.
The other is for large payments.
Wish I had an account I could afford not to link a bank account toMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Fay as you quite rightly pointed out to me about 18 months ago, the rules state that a user can only have one premier account at a time..so we can't seperate out our buying and selling paypal accounts unfortunately.
You can though have one one of each type of account, as I did keep the basic account for when I used to accept my Quidco payments via paypal, but will probably close that now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I only have one ebay account and I use that for buying and selling.
I did open another account in my wife’s name using her bank and credit card details etc though I have only bought 3 items on that and sold nothing. I opened it a few months ago as a safeguard just in case I ever had problems with my own account.
There is never any interaction between the accounts and the only thing in common is the surname and address.
Presumably that is allowed and perfectly acceptable on ebay and PayPal.
I do have my wife’s permission. I do all the banking and finance stuff as I work from home anyway and so I have access to all her bank accounts, credit cards etc. She does occasionally get a surprise when a package arrives addressed to her and she excitedly opens it and finds it is something I have bought for myself on her card and forgotten to tell her.
Avoriaz, why have I bought a Powerflush machine?0 -
