Try to find? Someone posted their example retailer complaint only today on the thread you'd expect to find it on. The one linked in the NEWBIES thread.damebigs said:

Sorry my friend but typing that in the search isn't bringing up anything. Thank you though for your interaction and patience. I can not imagine how frustrating and infuriating repeating yourself is.Coupon-mad said:Yes - I know - but it's the first hyperlink in NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.
I'll get on to citizens advice on Monday.0 -
Hi damebigs,
From this page (as you are reading this, scroll up to the top, where it says:
Home› Motoring› Parking tickets, fines & parking
then click on: Parking tickets, fines & parking
That takes you to the main forum page, in the list of threads, the second one is called:
NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST.
Click on that thread. In there is all the info you require. including the link to retail complaints that Coupon Mad has referred to above.
Please do no go to Citizens Advice. They do not know enough about parking on private land (the real experts are all here), and they often give well meaning, but incorrect advice.2 -
Citizens advice are of little use in these cases
Far better to follow the advice given here by coupon mad who has forgotten more than CA will ever know, so it would be very foolish to not find and use her extremely valuable free advice
The Newbies sticky thread is at the top of this forum in announcements, for all newbies to read and study
The link referred to is one of many in that single thread of free, valuable advice, please find it and read it2 -
I didn't say to search! I was making it easy.damebigs said:

It's an Announcement thread at the top of the forum you're on and my signature (below every post I make, colourful to make you look) tells every new poster how to hop there in a nanosecond. No search needed.
And certainly DON'T ask the CAB who are sadly clueless about private parking charges. Even the advice on their website is wrong.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
