Why would you hand over to a 3rd party who are going to take a cut.
Until FCA & the courts come to a decision. End of this year maybe....🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Going on your own or via a company will not get anything any quicker..

    So just sit tight, 👍
Thanks I did think this was the case but just checking.

Why  is it with this type of claim there’s no need to use third parties but with the emissions claims you are advised to join a group action and not go alone ?
The emissions claim was based on a massive fraud by VW for markets that sell cares based on NOx emissions (like the US) but equally the claims are largely fraudulent as nobody in the UK buys the car based on NOx (VED is CO2 based and we normally look at MPG, NOx is rarely mentioned in all but the small print). Nobody in the UK lost money or had any case for miss-sale on the grounds that the car had lower emissions in test scenarios then the real world as they didn't buy it based on that. As such, it needed a group litigation by third parties to proceed as there was no court case or FCA investigation. With the DCA / commission issue, like with PPI, there is a court case (several actually) and an ongoing FCA investigation into the practice hence no need for any third party firms

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
