Double down. Not double thickness.

I have a box right here. It says “BIG TISSUE, SMALL BOX”. They are definitely not as good as they used to be but cheaper ones are much worse. I’ve had bronchitis recently and it didn’t take me long to get through a whole boxSavvy_Sue said:
I confess I hadn't spotted the change of branding, but I agree with you that it is far thinner than it used to be, and pretty useless. It's only the larger size which redeems it at all: a 'standard' sized tissue is completely inadequate for one average nose blow when I have the sniffles.Sterlingtimes said:I know that Kleenex dropped the branding "Mansized" because it was considered to be sexist. I am more concerned about the quality of the product: did it used to be far stronger in years gone by? I now prefer the thinner kitchen roll over Kleenex. I also avoid the various impregnated tissues. Does anyone else feel that Kleenex is not as strong as it used to be?
I tried Sainsbury's own brand, same size, as a friend had them, and they seemed OK but actually no better in the longer term. DH gets a bit attached to things, so we're back to Kleenex. I think what I really need is 3-ply - anybody's 3-ply might do the trick.
I do occasionally get the Balsam tissues in winter.

I wrote to them. They want codes off boxes, as if they didn't know they'd made them inferior. Will eventually get round to sending that.Signature removed for peace of mind1
