Eero 6 Pro How To Change Wifi Network Name
It is for the Pro version but it is identical on the non-Pro version as well.1 -
Hmm I doubt it but I will have a look. I think the only other option according to the canon guide is to enter the network password on the printer display but my printer doesn’t have a display.matelodave said:Have you got a socket on your printer that looks like the one on the router which is for an ethernet connection.
The piccy of the socket you are showing on the printer is for a USB connection, not for ethernet.
Your previous router may well have had a USB port but I don't think there's one on the EERO router. Is there not a manual option for your printer to set wifi>0 -
As the photo is off the back of the router and the second picture shows a usb connectionAnnie1612 said:

Thank you, but I have already seen this guide. It says I need a WPS button on my router which I don’t seem to have. I have also followed the instruction book that came with the printer, which has worked with 2 different routers in the past. All I get this time is “no air printers found”.Vitor said:
This may mean purchasing type b printer cable plus type b adapter so that you have two type b ends
Could not see one with a type b usb
But the one with a standard usb states it is only for diagnostic purposes and not for printer use1 -
Can you not connect the old router to the eeroAnnie1612 said:
Ah, ok. 😥WillPS said:You can't
you need either a network printer (with a physical network port) or a router which allows a USB device to be plugged in.
Your printer might support wifi though, can you share the model number?
The printer is a Canon Pixma MG3650S. I have moved house and cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect it to my Wi-Fi as I now have a new broadband provider and router. I am trying to print from an iPad/iPhone and the router is an Eero router. Thank you for any help or advice! 🙏0 -
I no longer have the old one.35har1old said:

Agreed, it's a great idea - if you've got a network-enabled printer. I've been doing it for about 20 years. I still miss the LaserWriter I started with, but it needed a new fuser and that was £££ ...bob2302 said:
I connect my printer to my router. It allows any device to connect to the printer though WiFi.Why would you connect a printer to the router?

I used to love the Laserjet II at work. The Laserjet 4 was pretty good as well. I worked out how to change the message on the front of the priner that usually said "READY". I used to change it to "PAPER JAM" and watch my boss getting more and more frustrated when trying to clear the non-existant jam.1
