Please could someone tell me which Ethernet cable I need to buy to connect my Canon Pixma printer to my Eero router. I have taken a couple of photos below of the ‘holes’. I found something online that said cat 5, however looking at pictures of the cat 5, I am not sure it will be right.
Thanks.

Thanks.

You can't
you need either a network printer (with a physical network port) or a router which allows a USB device to be plugged in.
Your printer might support wifi though, can you share the model number?0 -
Have you checked the printer manual to see if the model you have is a network printer. The cable connection on the back of the printer looks like a USB connection which would suggest that particular model needs connecting directly to a computer (unless it also has WiFi connectivity?)0

Why would you connect a printer to the router?Annie1612 said:Please could someone tell me which Ethernet cable I need to buy to connect my Canon Pixma printer to my Eero router. The printer is a Canon Pixma MG3650S. I have moved house and cannot for the life of me figure out how to connect it to my Wi-Fi as I now have a new broadband provider and router. I am trying to print from an iPad/iPhone and the router is an Eero router. Thank you for any help or advice! 🙏0 -
Thanks, yes it does as I have used it before at my old house where it was connected to my network. Now I cannot get it to connect.GrumpyDil said:Have you checked the printer manual to see if the model you have is a network printer. I am printing from an iPad and iPhone. I found some instructions online that said you could connect a cable to the router directly if you couldn’t get it to connect to Wi-Fi.35har1old said:

Thank you, but I have already seen this guide. It says I need a WPS button on my router which I don’t seem to have. I have also followed the instruction book that came with the printer, which has worked with 2 different routers in the past. All I get this time is “no air printers found”.Vitor said:0 -
One suggestion. Do you remember the password and network name of your old WiFi. One of the suggestions on the Eero site is to set your network up using the old details. If you do that you may find your printer will connect using the old details.1
