Ok Firstly, if the post is read properly you will see I said I'll keep it short. So to answer you all, yes meter reading has been sent to them and proof of that also confirming no electric used.
Secondly If your telling me that they can make up a bill of over £6500 when the shop is empty and used no electric since 2018 of which the meter confirms. Then I'm afraid your wrong, example Post Office Scandal. Companies can not make up bills and use bully tactics to hound people fact and this I can also prove. I can also prove that my client is owed money not the other way round. No doctors can pinpoint stress causing a massive rise in heart rate and blood pressure, your right. But many points in a court case can not be determined hence why you would have a specialist witness in that field. Like a doctor, a family doctor that has seen this woman fight off cancer twice in the last 7 years with out no raise in her heart or blood pressure. His evidence would be knowing this woman for over 20 years would say. Who has seen her have a mental breakdown and 2 serious spinal operations cancelled due to this. He can and would say " I cant say for certain, but in the time I've known her its only been happening since this started". Evidence that would have to be taken into account. Thirdly again if you read the post you will see I stated dealing with this some 10 weeks ago with no response to calls or emails. 2 years ago a friend also tried to help her by also submitting the same complaint with no response either. 8 weeks with no transcripts provided is a breach of Ofgem's regulations, not providing an address to commence legal proceeding is a break of the UK laws. So know, this is the last chance they had to try and communicate, and yet again they failed. The shop has been closed for 7 years now, with no usage that can also be proved by the photo of the meter removed in January this year. So where does the £6800 bill come from when her account was £0 when Eon took over in January 2021. I can also prove on a massive scale harassment and bulling, well any one who thinks that 11 types of threat in just the last 14 days is ok then god help our elderly. The post office scandal is very similar not the same, I will not sit back and watch this woman take her own life because of what Eon think they can do to her. If you have a question then ask and don't assume. But one thing is for sure, I know she is not alone, just in this area there are 100's.
Please give me time to respond as the work we do is quite consuming.

Seven years no electricity used, but there are 7 years of standing charges to be paid. The lady should have had the meter disconnected.
Again your post is difficult to read, and you could show redacted bills. You are also letting emotions get in the way of facts, and 100’s in that area ?

My sympathies for the lady with so many health struggles, it must be tough.
Hopefully she gets the support needed on the actual business side, as sympathies and focusing on the health as you are doesn't really help. Since you're keeping it short, the pertinent bits would be not the health, but rather
* what Eon's bills state the figures come from
* structure of the company eg sole trader / limited co, etc
* whether the energy accounts have been closed - eg by selling the property / disconnecting the supply etc.
If stress from getting letters is adding to the health issues then surely starting court action on something very subjective is going ot make things worse before they get any better and is secondary to stopping the bleed and establishing the correct payments first. Then and only then would it be at all responsible to start up court action. Note zero use doesn't mean 0 is the correct payment, there could be standing charges etc.

The shop is closed no electric used in 7 years standing charge £7 per month, meter shows this, NO ONE IS IN THE SHOP NOR HAVE THEY BEEN FOR 7 YEARS. Which is why only £7 per month, and yes of course engineer present when photo was taken. But still asking for meter reading when they should no there is no meter, they took it out. So same question, £6800 for a year, don't think so, its harassment and has been for 4 plus years.
Why does she want this sorting, simple she does not want to take this to her grave.
Again its in my previous posts, I have full authorization and on the notes in front of them on the screen. We are getting no where as no calls and no emails answered, the same as 2 year ago when this complaint was made. Taking them to court as no reflection on the money that Eon actually owe my client and not the other way round, but this will also be proved. Its the damage they have done to this now very sick old lady. No one should have to put up with appalling behaviour and no one should be harassed in this day and age how ever old they are.
And finally my emotions are not getting in the way of things, I just know what is right and what is wrong, and I will not allow this woman to be bullied any more.0 -
By way of observation, when reading about not getting anywhere with Eon, the only context I have is the contents of this thread, where it seems to be equally difficult to get anywhere.Good luck with your lawsuit. I do feel sorry for this lady, it seems like things are not about to get any better for her.0

Just because I said the shop was shut for 7 years, I did not say standing charges was not paid. 7 years ago Npower was in charge of the service at £7 per month. In 2021 Eon took over with a zero balance and then increased the standing charge to £134 per year, at the end of 2021. In July of 2022 they sent her a bill of £6300 for electric used, then in August it went to £6800. A photo was taken and sent showing the meter read the same as when Eon took over in January 2021, no electric used. This did not stop Eon bulling this woman to setting up a standing order of some £780 per month, they took 2 payments then the bank stepped in after her Nervous break down. the bank told her to cancel the direct debit as there had to be a massive mistake. the harassment has continued since then on a major scale.0
