The double plug cable is the feed from a Sky satellite dish.

    1st pic is a F-socket.
Need front cover pic, or better with cover removed to see the metal box labelling inside, to know for sure what it is.
Might be Virgin cable.  Might be something else to do with terrestrial UHF TV.  Or neither.

2nd pic is a 'shotgun' cable for satellite with two F-plugs on it.  Need a clear pic of the dish/low noise block label to know if universal type or wideband so you know if you have satellite kit that is compatible.

First picture, socket looks like Virgin Media internal socket which connects to a router by coax.

Is there any logo on the wall box?

Second picture, cable is coax and looks like it could be from a dual LNB Sky dish.

Certainly isn't a terrestrial TV coax connection.

I've got a shotgun cable like that connected to a dish with a twin LNB on the wall outside.  No idea if it still works as I've never plugged it into anything.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid

  • Hey guys thanks for the responses! I just moved into a new place and my new router is comming so I wanted to know where to plug it in. So I found this black cable which I don’t know what that’s for

the second pic looks like a coaxial I’m assuming I’m correct. This is where my new router will be hooked up?

    Cheers guys
  • Second pic I removed the cover btw just to take a look

Think you need to tell us a bit more about your broadband supplier.

And exactly what deal you have signed up to.

And maybe ask if they offer a setup service.
