That's good! I'd say you can remove para 24 because your intro paragraph says the same thing already.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you. Also, there’s a typo in para 2. “The POC appear to be…” should be “appears”.

I disagree. POC stands for Particulars of Claim.

I’ve printed, had it signed, scanned it as a pdf and sent by email. Received the auto response.

A little anxious now - but will keep keeping on.

My partner will be alone for 4 days from 30th-4th. I’m not clear whether he should be looking out for postal communication, or emails from this point.

    URGENT RESPONSE PLEASE 🙏

My partner has just received a Judgment for Claimant (in default), stating that he has “…not replied to the claim form.” This is not the case. I emailed the defence to the correct address on 20th June, and received an automated response.

What is the advisable procedure please?

The paragraphs in Note to the defendant are very concerning. It states that there is a fee payable to have the judgement set aside!

    You did nothing wrong.

Just read the other threads like it (this is all too common) and send a complaint attaching your defence and the acknowledgement email to the CNBC headed UNPROCESSED DEFENCE COMPLAINT and the Claim number.

Also email a separate complaint to HMCTS as they will push the complaint through on your behalf.

You can find other threads like it by search the forum for:

    or

    Judgment default defence

    ...always change searches to 'newest'.

This is also really confusing. The letter, printed on the back of the Judgement (is that normal?), is the first court correspondence standard letter. The one we received with the claim. This isn’t right.

Thank you. Complaint by letter to CNBC, or email?

If they’re not processing defences, what’s to say they’ll process a complaint?

    Email.

Like I said in bold, complain to HMCTS too.

The dozens of threads like yours that you'll find have ALL had this error reversed easily...
