Morning all. Have skim read and not absorbed anything so hoping you're all well.
Wedding was amazing, so amazing that we just needed to rest yesterday once we'd picked Poppet up and got home. This morning I need to do dailies, catch up on washing, walk Poppet and prep sandwiches for a village event this afternoon.
I will catch up on flying during the week.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
I'm so glad the wedding went well Jazee. Congratulations to Junior Mr Jazee and the new Mrs Jazee.Has anyone heard from Round recently? She's normally a daily poster and there's been very little from her for a while.Belovéd has already put a load through the WM and dangled it, which I'd had on my listie for today, so that's goog. The only other thing that's on it for today is putting the greenhouse outside and filling it up, which means geranium cuttings must be taken and seeds sown. Late, probably, but that doesn't matter as long as they grow.Better is good enough.6

Hope Round is OK.
We have been to the shops. I bought some work trousers a few weeks ago, tried them on in the shop and thought they were fine but when I put them on at home they are actually a bit tight. Thankfully I had kept the tags on. The joy of living in the middle of nowhere means it's a 50 mile round trip to go to the nearest M&S. DH got some compost at a bargain price at the big garden centre though so it made the trip worthwhile.
So.. the house looks a bit unloved. It's nearly 3.30pm. I wonder if I should do a quick sweep through the whole house or concentrate on the bits that look worse. Hmm quick sweep with Henry and the duster brush tidying as I go I think, then do the floors. If I start upstairs I should make good progress in an hour..

Hi
👋 to HB. I'm here. Reading along and forgetting to post as I'm experimenting using pencil and paper to keep track of life. It seems to be successful so far. 🤞 Apart from forgetting to post 🤦♀️
Congratulations to all the Jazee family.
I've had an unsettling couple of weeks at the paid stuff which finally led to me asking if I can have a different line manager. I'd hoped to move across to a new supervisor when I changed roles but it didn't happen, so we'll see what happens now.... And breathe.....
Saturdailies get done which keeps things ticking over at home: now I need to fathom out how to get on top of everything else.
I looked back to see when I last posted. 31st May. Couldn't find a photo frame the size I wanted - are graduation photos an unusual size? Did buy a spare shower curtain and a spare washing line though.
Love to all

Afternoon all, I've decided since it's early in a new month, it is time to return and try to get some order in my life again. The last five months have been rather difficult with one thing and another (health, work, and relationship). I have had some big decisions to make, but hopefully things are starting to fall into place. After a disaster with university exams and a health issue, I have had to rethink the direction of my career, which has led me to try to retake my higher maths and English, as I need these for a different university course and career direction. At the same time as trying to get these qualifications, I have applied to study a different university course and been given a conditional offer, so the pressure is on to get my English and maths. Following a cortisone injection, my health issues seem to be gradually getting better. Relationship issues will take a bit longer, but hopefully, these are also a positive work in progress.
Sorry about sharing all of my issues from the last 5 months, but it feels good to share, and I will be back to join the thread daily and support others through the trials and tribulations of life.
My list for this afternoon
Iron clothes that are needed for next week
Tidy away the pile of stuff that has been getting dumped at the side of the sofa
Print off the academic work that is needed for next week.
Encourage DH to sort my car; the exhaust needs replacing, and he's having issues getting the old one off. Work in Progress, he eventually managed to get the old bit off, just needs to finish attaching the new exhaust.
Update the diary for next week and make sure everything is included
Do 10 minutes on the exercise bike (needing to start building up exercise carefully to avoid causing damage to my knee)
Laundry (4 loads)
Order presents for DD's birthday
Order tickets for the DS's production (it's not till September but want to make sure we have good seats)
Order tickets for the circus later this month
Sort bags, clothes and lunches for tomorrow
That is everything that I need to get done today, and I will be starting afresh tomorrow.

Hello all….waves at Returning Round 👋…Congratulations to Jazzee and family.
It’s been a full weekend but not in a stressy way. Yesterday I was taxi for DH and his friends for a beer festival, earning even more brownie points to my not insubstantial stash. I will be cashing these in at some point. That meant that yesterday afternoon and early evening was mine for the taking. I spent it with my sewing machine, a book and the remote control. Not all at the same time. And enjoyed my position of being up on the moral high ground yesterday and this morning, when DH was a little the worse for wear. A fact that he vehemently denies.Today I spent a couple of hours at the allotment, with the unexpected job of digging up all the garlic before rot took hold. Not ideal, but at least there will be no vampires here for the foreseeable. I also came home with sugar snaps, broad beans and chard, but unless the plants get more sun and less wind, I am not hopeful of a bumper year. The wind is bitter, and being on an exposed hill in the back of beyond, we do feel it. Rhubarb and ginger jam potted this afternoon. WUDUPA. One load of washing done and blown dry outside. Double pegged.7 -
Hi all
Checking back in before this thread bites the dust and we start a shiny new week. Nice to see you MMM.
I have put all clean washing away, done a load of darks and pegged them out, dusted and hoovered everywhere, swished the bathroom and kitchen units, washed the kitchen bin out and rehomed various bits of gibble. This took me the best part of 2 hours and the LR needs a bit more of a proper clean. That can wait.
