@Valli Thanks for the new list. I really need the decluttering challenge, its all this garden time, the house is suffering.I managed most of the level one, and FUBA the dog wash.I ended up taking another 2 layers out of the 2nd wormery and then spent more time fishing out the stragglers. It does make lovely compost, but no good for the squeamish. OH trimmed some of the overgrowth in the pond and I repotted the curly twisted green pond plant (I'm sure theres a name for it, I will have to look it up. I though there was a 2nd one but I think its gone into the pond?. I still haven't planted the garlic ( 🐸).@Honey_Bear yes I agree collies are full on. Shes 8 now and spends all day thundering around the garden, in and out of her paddling pool. She goes out with OH on the bike and runs around the whole way.6

Morning. Hope you're all ok today.
So far I have watered indoor plants, topped up vases, done wordle in four and changed over sofa covers.
Today should be: admin/ bank checking, dailies, change bedding, sew alterations to wedding outfit, dog walks, exercise class, send parcels and playing in a match tonight. Also have a pedicure booked in this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all,
Up early as workmen due at 8am…not here yet. Still, I have got my hair washed early, so plenty of time for flying on this wet and blustery day.Yesterday I planted plants and weeded weeds in the morning, stuffed more ivy into the green bin, got 2 loads of washing dry, cleaned the machine filters and shone the kitchen bin. There may have been more, but that is what comes to mind. On the declutter front, I identified 4 large vases which I rarely use, if at all. DD is not interested in having them, DSiL neither, so their destiny is out of the DR and off to the cs.
Today’s flying will be bathroom based as per the list. I need to change the bedding but drying looks unlikely atm. After the elusive workmen have been, DH is off out. Did I want to go with him to look at fence panels? Errrr, funnily enough, no. I’ll stick to flying, listening to podcasts in peace, and maybe, just maybe, make it to the sewing machine to finish that lingering top off.7 -
I’ve got something on so must get up.
Ive also got to jolly SD on re paperwork, but not today. Yesterday he handed over a bag of jewellery, including the 2 higher value pieces Which, it transpired, he’d moved because mum kept losing them when she was in her anxious phase…and that was a long phase. There is a necklace really tangled because it was boxed unfastened. There will be more, but for now i’m assembling it all for safety. (ie before the stepsisters rock up). She went into the home with a ring but that vanished. Not a high value one though.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Stopping for coffee, if anyone cares to join me.
Bathroom cleaned (grout cleaning on the list for “another time” 🙄), bedding changed and loaded into wm for later when it is supposed to stop raining, bedroom dusted, upstairs vacuumed. Workman turned up at 9.30am. It took him all of 5 minutes to fix the problem. DH however has not gone out. He is hogging the office, but as he has now decided to look into renewing the broadband contract, I am leaving him in peace. My admin can push to tomorrow if necessary.7 -
I've just had a cuppa with you, Fayolle, thank you
I've done the dailies and updated my banking records.
I've finished hemming by hand the pair of trousers that I bought a few years ago, but they have always felt very baggy round the ankles. Now they fit properly and are ready to wear.
I've bravely chopped 10 cm off the bottom of a new but far-too-long pair of wide, loose, lightweight trousers which will also be good to take on holiday and now need to adjust the hems - but I can machine sew them this time.
And while all this has been happening, my computer has been quietly transferring more picture files onto the 2TB external drive. I've probably got 3 or 4 copies of most pictures on there now, so there is still a lot of sorting and reordering to be done.
At some point I've got to take Rosie for a walk. We had heavy rain for a couple of hours, but that stopped a short while ago, the sun is now out and is supposed to stay there until about 3pm. Once DH has returned from SW and we've eaten our salad lunch, he will be off out again to play trains, so the afternoon is mine until I have to attend a short, routine hospital appointment at out local outpatients' centre just after 4pm. We seem to have run out of yogurt, but I can easily stop off on the way home to do a top-up shop. Tea will be fish and runner beans, because that's what I've got in the fridge!
Back to sewing... I'll catch up with you all later xxx7 -
Afternoon all.Yesterday I washed the table cloth but forgot to put the napkins in the WM with it. Two of them are ok but the other two need washing, one especially, so that's annoying. I think I'll hand wash them as I'm not planning on doing any washing for a few days. This morning, just before lunch, I nipped to Waitrose for a couple of things. There is an Ocado order coming soon but I wasn't expecting to be in for lunch and didn't have any bread.Like @Honey_Bear I'm always disappointed at how little time one's flying efforts last for. I'm going to try and do little and often in fututre so gave the kitchen and bathroom floors a quick once over and wiped down the basin, mirrors and lav in the bathroom.Yesterday we went to the GP as A is having a lot more pain in his back and legs, to the extent of crying out in pain when he gets out of bed or tries to turn over. He didn't want co-codomol or anything from that class so she prescribed a repurposed drug which was developed as an anti-depressant but didn't work for that but does for some pain. When we got home and looked at the notes they said don't take if you've had a recent heart attack but didn't define 'recent'. I looked on the internet and there was quite a bit of info about studies showing that it could cause cardiac problems. The GP is a locum I think so we weren't clear if she knew A had had a heart attack last year so we ran the surgery but no one was available. He rang the chemsit instead and the pharmacist there said 'recent' meant in the last couple of months. The GP's pharmacist rang this morning and also said it was ok but it is a little worrying.Another side effect is drowsiness, and given that a sleeps a lot anyway that is another concern. When I got up this monring he was asleep in the chair and when I woke him up he was very groggy. He did come around gradually but he said he didn't feel up to meeting our friend for her birthday lunch today, which was a great disappointment. Obviously I couldn't leave him so we had to cancel. After lunch he went for a nap and to try the CPAP machine again. I checked on him a few times and he was asleep but twice the machine had turned itself off and I had to start it again. THhe enxt time I checked he'd taken it off.Anyway, the Ocado order has just arrived and A has woken up so my short period of peace and quiet has ended as he will now want a cup of tea and I have to put the order away.8

Didn't do much in the garden, it was very overcast and the midges were out in force, so got a few pots that were hanging around washed and left to drain, gave my old rose some wormery compost and had a brief rummage for any last stragglers.I cleared the kitchen windowsill and put all the yet to be repotted plants outside on the table with the other 🐸 the garlic. Hopefully I'll get it done tomorrow. But I did get the window and sill washed and polished the windows. I still prefer the old windolene, it seems to keep better and repels dog nose art better than the sprays. I had the bath rubber mat and shower screen edges soaking in the bath, so got carried away and polished the shower screen before putting it all back.I've ordered 2 courgettes, a mini cucumber and runner bean plants. I'm feeling a bit lazy about it, I should have started them off myself but wasn't too energetic earlier in the year.No washing so just basic kitchen level one.I made some steak mince quarter pounders yesterday, and had 2 left over which should have gone in the freezer. But we both fancied them again, so added chips, onion rings, egg and beans tonight. I think it better be a salad or something with lots of vegetables tomorrow.@Cloth_of_Gold hopefully the meds help and he'll get used to them after about a week and wont be as sleepy.6
