But only covers physio after a car accident, not any other treatment or cause. So it is of very limited benefit, unless you make a habit of crashing.koru0 -
thanks koru, no I dont even drive so no harm done to either myself or the company. Fortunatly I am covered by Healthshield and very happy I am with them. But you put my mind at rest, but will still see what happens when year is up:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Can anyone help with the above?
After persuading my partner to use a private speech therapist (she has been battling to get a statement of needs which gives one on one therapy to no avail), I have been trying to find a cashplan to help pay for the cost.
I currently have a HSA cashplan that I use for osteopathy treatment and I think it is of great benefit (though I will research changing companies after reading this article).
The only company I have found so far is Healthshield which for £42.90 a month would payback £520.00 a year. The speech therapist we have found charges £70.00 for an initial consultation, £50.00 thereafter. We plan to use her once, possibly twice a week.
I have thought about private medical insurance, but the companies I've researched don't seem to cover pre existing conditions as a rule of thumb (don't know if daughter would be classed as having a pre existing condition as she doesn't have one to one therapy at present).

I have been to physiotherapy about 3 years ago for back pain as a hospital inpatient would I be able to claim for osteopathy under the HSA plan?

Under the T&C I think it should be ok as it only applies to hospital inpatient claims I am right.0 -

After reading the link on HSA's Ts & Cs, I would say that you would be able to claim (though I suggest you contact HSA by phone or email to make sure).
Hope this helps.0 -
Yes, I think osteopathy is covered by HSA, as is acupuncture, private physio, a lot of things like that.
DH and I have been members of HSA for decades, and because we're both individual members we claim for each other. We've just received a payment each for his 7 nights in hospital recently and that has gone into our respective cash ISAs. We reckon we've had back every penny-piece we ever put into it - my 10-night hospital stay last December, optical, dental, I've also had private physio, he had a day stay for investigations under general anaesthetic and that pays the same as a night in hospital. We wouldn't leave it now because at our age (71) we'd never get back into it. But we've had a lot out of it over the years.

I have the HSA basic, just had an eye test (although this was free with a D&A voucher so I'm not claiming for that) and now need some new glasses. I know HSA will reimburse necessary glasses up to £70 pa on this plan. Does anybody know if this applies only to glasses bought from a high street optician or can you order them on the internet and still claim with HSA?
I bought my last glasses from opticals4less based in HK and was going to order from them again but suddenly wondered if HSA would reimburse the cost of these if not bought in a regular high street optician.
Anybody had any experience of claiming through HSA for internet bought glasses please? TIA0 -
ive got a hsa plan i was thinking of cancelling, not sure though as you cannot rejoin for 3 years. I haveonly used the dental and optical benefits in the last 5 years i have been a member, so im worse off really so far.
I didnt realize there where other companies providing this sort of cashback plan.
What companies are there and are they any good?
Hsa is quite easy to use from my experience , easy to complete claim forms, and money credited to you bank usually within a few days.
also does anyone know if you can buy a spare pair of just frames to use your optical limit up if you dont need a new pair of specs?
the tesco clubcard deal dont sound too bad, not sure if you can change to that though if your an existing hsa customer?!0
