Feedback Refused

You seem to be assuming that feedback would be negative, not necessarily so.  People might comment on a particular feature which perhaps isn't shown to its best advantage but could easily be by moving furniture etc.  Not all feedback entails work and it is very useful to see things through the potential buyers' eyes.  One house that we looked at had the viewings done by the owner-occupier who was negative about everything and clearly didn't want to move and we fed that back to the EA.

How strange. Some of it will be fluff, sure. But that’s very easily filtered out and ignored. But some of it will be valuable insight. I genuinely don’t get why anyone (when making such a major financial / life decision) would limit the amount of knowledge they have to inform that decision.

I actually enjoyed the feedback as it was always pretty amusing.

Viewing a house on *hill road and then commenting they didn't like it as it was on a hill.

Didn't like it because it was over three floors, yet the description and floor plan made this very clear.

It is usually price that is the problem, people sometimes seem to struggle with being honest about price, I think due to all the years of brainwashing about "sealed bids" and "winning" property by over-paying etc. All seems a bit daft now as interest rates return to more normal levels.

Read that once and managed to use it in a meeting. Boss wrote it down.

There is some truth in it however.

As someone said, there may be some zero cost options from the feedback that could help it sell.

Viewed a lot when property developing, some nice, some dumps, we were looking for potential to improve. Just an example, but a house with a pet smell would have greatly increased the chances of a sale had a few windows been cracked open before viewings. A house where garage access looked tight - if a car was parked there then we'd have known it was possible. Probably more examples, but its gym time

The OP has said they are not going to make any changes, why bother stressing about what someone thinks about the layout of your house?

Because there may be feedback on issues that can be fixed at virtually no cost and hassle for the OP that could result in a sale, a quicker sale, and/or a higher price. Cutting oneself off from information's seems perverse.

I'd be more concerned that I'd have my card marked by the EA as being a "bl@@dy awkward customer" - but each to their own. Maybe I've yet to cross the age threshold where I don't give a damn what people think any more

human nature means some will indeed feel aggrieved at any feedback they get as they will see it as trivial, missing the point, things they cannot control and so pointless, valueless because they consider it isn't "true"  or just offensive.

others will value it as a guide to what is happening.

as you have stated you do not want it, then this thread is pointless.
