Good. So you have an allocated space and nothing about permits or charges in your tenancy agreement.VespaDriver said:

Complain to your MP and the DVLA. Include a copy of the relevant parts of your lease to show there is no requirement to display a permit and that you have exclusive unfettered right to use your demised space. Consequently your personal data has been unlawfully released by the DVLA, and unlawfully obtained and processed by CPM. Quote the full PPC name in your complaints.
Tell the DVLA to block your personal data from being sold to any and all unregulated private parking companies operating at your home address.
Ask your MP when the mandatory code of practice is going to be introduced to support the 2019 parking bill.

thank you for this advice. There is one other little complication. The letters are not in my full name but in my short name. (I AM NOT REALLY CALLED STEPHEN) So, instead of saying Stephen, its adressed to Steve..... meaning they did not use the DVLA but the landlord database. Not sure what that would mean for an actual court case.....Fruitcake said:Complain to your MP and the DVLA. check your lease to see what it says about sharing your data - could be a GDPR breach by your landord...2

You should check with the DVLA if there was a request made, as I understand it if they did get the details from elsewhere the POFA does not apply as the correct process was not followed, but in any case any "landlord database" is not an official record of the vehicle keeper, in addition you stated there was no discussion with them about your Vespa. If the NTK stated the keeper's details were obtained from the DVLA and you prove they weren't it would be void and they should be reported to the IPC and see what excuse those dimwits come back with.3

Just remember if you move out to keep the claimant informed of your new address for the next 6 years. Otherwise they may get a judgement against you as you didn't file a defence.
Meanwhile just follow the advice in the newbies column.

update on the dispute with CPM. I contacted the IPC (international parking community). The response I received was as follows. You sent your email to the CPM enquiry department. Please contact the complaints department.
