I signed up to TalkTalk at the end of October with the Free Broadband offer and the Talk2 package. At the time the offer included a Free freeview box and 2 months free Setanta sports package. My account started on the 9th of November and, about a week before Christmas I still had no sign of the freeview box. So I e-mailed and they replied right away with the contact details of Setanta. (0870 numbers of course).
After three different phone calls, (another company that doesn't seem to know what it is talking about) Setanta told me that the offer ended at the end of November and that they didn't have my details from Talktalk, so there was nothing they could do.
One stinking e-mail later and over a week with no reply, I contacted Talktalk again who simply stated in an e-mail that they were sorry, but they couldn't back date the offer and apologised for the inconvenience.
Aside from highlighting more ineptitude from Talktalk, does anyone know where I stand on some form of recompense regarding this issue. I have, of course, sent them back another e-mail stating that I am not happy with an impersonal apology with no offer of recompense. Setanta, on the other hand, offered my a freeview box for £29 and two months viewing for £5 per month. Not really what I was looking for considering the whole thing should have been free.

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
The offer has raised a number of complaints.

Hello Dave318,
Good News, if you still want the free view box then i am able to arrange for one to be shipped direct from Setanta. Unfortunately Heinz, i wont be able to deliver it personally, but as long as it get there that's all that matters.
Hope this is a good resolution for you Dave318, if you PM me i will be more than happy to arrange the above.
Thanks

It's of my opinion that he is doing a good job!
I notice from some of your previous posts that you do seem to dislike Talk Talk, calling them "cowboys" in one of your previous posts!
I have said this before some people will get excellent service from a company and others not and it tends to be the poor service everyone always here's about. I on the other hand have had nothing but superb service from Talk Talk and can highly recommend them if your serious about saving money!
Everyone has their own opinion!0
