Travel Insurance with Pre Existing Conditions

I'm going to Tunisia towards the end of November 2025 and having real problems getting quotes for travel insurance.  I am medicated for high blood pressure, non smoker always, same tablets since 2019. I put that in the quote system.  Last year at my annual BP medication check, my triglycerides were shown to be slightly raised on the blood test.  The nurse said they'd retest in 6 months.  I want to get my travel insurance as soon as really.  Everytime I declare my high cholesterol (because triglycerides are NEVER recognised), its leads back to blood pressure questions, says I've duplicated my conditions and won't bring up a quote.  I tried with Allclear and InsureandGo.   I know the high BP and cholesterol are generally hand in hand type conditions but surely they aren't duplicated conditions.
I haven't been offered statins for the raised triglycerides.

Its annoying me slightly.  I can't be bothered to ring up really because I'm distrustful of call centre staff saying different things.

Any suggestions or advice please.  Many thanks

There is normally a tickbox to say you have already declared it? If not then the question is worded such that you only need to declare it if you haven't declared it as a seperate condition

Thanks.  I put in the hypertension, answered the questions, added THAT condition and then added high cholesterol as a separate condition.  Said 'yes' to blood test showing raised cholesterol, 'no' to medication and then it asked about high BP meds and I answered the questions and it said i'd duplicated the information. Really stupid system !  I'm sure people can have one without the other after all.

Call the insurer and explain what is happening.  High blood pressure and cholesterol shouldn't make a massive difference to policy cost.

@eliza2811 have you read through the MSE travel insurance guide on the main site?

Lloyds Platinum account offers worldwide travel insurance.
The no screen medical conditions list includes High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol.
If you have no other conditions that are not on the list you don't have to contact them and you are covered for those conditions

Have you checked the benefits which come with your bank account?  As 35har1old has mentioned, that could save a lot of hassle.

I think Lloyds might be the only one with a list that you don't have to report.
Since Nationwide changed there provider (Avia) BP only will cost additional £30 per person
    Co-op BP no charge

Thank you for the suggestions but I am with Nationwide. I don't have a packaged bank account. Might only go abroad once per year. I think I found that the Post Office might be the one I go with. They allowed me to enter separate 'conditions'.
