This might be a silly question but once you've accepted all the terms and conditions and completed your application, are you then able to see options for trading in ETFs, etc?
I'm asking this as, at the moment, about all I can see is in the app is CFDs / spread betting and that's something that I personally do not want and would not want to then have to pay the inactivity or custody fee for not trading.0 -

NB, you'll still need to trade in this app 3+ times a quarter to avoid the custody fee (or satisfy some other condition)Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. Beware fee charging companies with similar names.1 -

I have no idea how I managed to download the CFD app. I started the application which involved providing my personal details and creating an account and password but stopped short of submitting the application because of the CFD element.
I've now downloaded the invest app but I'm now wondering if I am no longer now a new customer and so won't qualify?0 -

Here's what I did
Opened an IG share dealing account last weekend
Once it was open, I opened an ISA and filled in the transfer form. On the Monday I got an email saying the documentation had been sent to T212
Then a few days ago I put £25 in and bought shares in 3 random companies as separate orders
Then I got this email yesterday
"You've boosted your earnings, here's how to keep your 8.5% AER variable rateCongratulations on your first investment with IG! You're now on track to earn an impressive 8.5% AER variable on your uninvested cash*, on balances up to £100k.All you need to do to keep your bonus rate is keep your position open or make new investments each calendar month between now and August 31st, 2025 to earn this offer until 31st August."0 -
I currently have a Halifax share dealing ISA, the IG deal sounds good as I'm often partially in cash, can anyone advise how the spreads compare, are they fixed or do they sometimes better the price as Halifax do?0
